Reconstruction works at San Zenone al Lambro station, on the suburban line S1. In the future it will look like a modern rapid transit station.

I hope they will restore this little building: without tags it seems nice. I never noticed it before, was it fitted recently?

It's a prefabricated type building built in the 1930s. I think it's going to be demolished because it's probably insulated with asbestos.

Considerazioni:
-speriamo finiscano e possano aprire la nuova fermata in occasione del cambio orario di Dicembre, anche se non mi sembrano così avanti i lavori, purtroppo.
-la pensilina non copre buona parte della banchina lato sud, è un vero peccato in quanto non sembra nemmeno una struttura ricercata in design o materiali (vedi realizzazioni ferrovia Novara-Seregno) e quindi a mio avviso potrebbe essere estesa per tutta la banchina senza eccessivi costi aggiuntivi.

On Saturday morning an evacuation test took place in M5 new stations of Isola and Garibaldi which are going to be opened within the end of 2013.
I was there and took a lot of pics.

When many lines join into one, you won't be able to distinguish them anymore.
Have a look at Porta Garibaldi, with 9 lines coming from north and 5 going south.

And then compare with this map, without any doubt much clearer.
Or this one, the best.

In the first one you can't distinguish between S and M lines, in the second one the graphic sucks. .
