I partly agree, but both of them are much better than the one by Mr. Goloub.

"S lines" are the suburban lines, while the "R lines" are the regional services.

Unfortunately only the suburban lines are numbered and drawn on the official maps, so I thought it would be easier for the commuters if both of them were shown.
The system is quite similar to the rail network in Paris, where the S-lines are the RER, and the R-lines the Transilien.

Why don't you add the subway lines (putting names only on transfer stations, and unnamed dots for the other)?

It would be a good idea, but drawing those maps requires a lot of time.
My purpose with this map was only on making the regional lines more attractive than today.

Metro 4 construction sites close
for five years, streets and squares

In December, in part via Solari: first Dezza , Foppa and cones Zugna , immediately after Jasmine and St Christopher. In 2014 it will be the turn of Dateo . There are fears of heavy discomfort: "It 's the price to pay ." And the traders have already asked for a table
ALESSIA Gallio
I read it after
Metro 4 , the shipyards closed for five years, streets and squares So far the shipyards had sprung up only in Forlanini . It is there that have focused efforts to be able to deliver the first two stops (Linate Forlanini - Fs) of line 4 of the metro in time for Expo . A race. Yet now , the subway waiting for years and for years seemed to exist only in the promises of directors, out of the paper to materialize also the other side of Milan. E Palazzo Marino inaugurates a "tour" in the affected areas to warn in advance of the districts of the revolution that they will soon live.

First stop in Zone 6 , where whole pieces of the city will be transformed by barriers and work . With the inevitable chaos that will create so important excavations in streets and blocks densely populated and frequented . Starting with Solari is here, in a vast area that builds on the last stretch of road to the border with Dezza via Foppa and who gets to capture a slice of the park until Cones Zugna that probably at the end of the year, will be mounted enclosures for the first preparatory works . Soon after , the workers will come in off the Jasmine in Lorenteggio , and the future terminus of St. Christopher . And then , within the next four or five months , start activities also Dateo .

It is the eternal promise that is now beginning to take shape. To see them all over, the 21 stations of the M4, it was not until 2020. If you do not , at this point, the year 2021 : the dealer will have six and a half years after the signing of the Convention - is not there yet - to end it. But after work parties at Linate to be able to carry out the enterprise Expo (the " moles" should start digging the first months of 2014 ) , it is also warm up the engines for trafficking LorenteggioSolari . In this quadrant , the means of communication may only be given when you get the final approval of the project by the CIPE . Palazzo Marino , however, prepare it: "It is conceivable that the first construction can start as early in 2013 ," says Councillor for Mobility, Pierfrancesco Maran .

The start will be from Solari , one of the more delicate because it is here that needs to be dropped the "mole" that will have to dig tunnels to San Babila (another will depart from San Cristoforo ) . It serves a very large surface area to prepare in advance. "Phase 1 " to the end of 2013 provides for the perimeter fence , cutting of trees ( ' will be replanted when the surface area will be rearranged and improved , " anticipates Maran ) , the excavations preparatory to move underground services and to understand for example, if there are weapons of war down there . Then , start the actual construction that will last, in more complex cases , 60 months : five years. A long wait , punctuated by predictable discomfort: the price needed to have a stop on the blue line under the house .

From the first meeting in Zone 6 , the major concerns were traders : "Those of avenue Lorenteggio have asked a specific table - said the Councillor for Mobility - Obviously, the sites of the subway have a very strong impact on neighborhoods involved. We are aware and we are doing everything possible to reduce critical . Even for those who live and work in Solari will be five difficult years, but then the service that will be extraordinary and , for the area, there will be great benefits . "

The President of Zone 6 , Gabriele Rabaiotti , he knows that in his district are intended to check three of the most important shipyards : stop around the future of Jasmine , for

example, the traffic will be under special surveillance . He, too, agrees : " We are witnessing the construction of a work that represents the backbone of the city." At Palazzo Marino has already sent the first requests : " On the site of the City should be converted into a section dedicated to building sites to inform, to be cared for restoration projects from the preparatory phase of the areas and the work will not have to spend too much time ."

Interesting infos on Milano-Asso railway projects (to be completed within 2015)

 • adeguamento a standard della stazione con realizzazione di due banchine alte, dotate di pensiline, illuminazione, cartelli teleindicatori e impianto di diffusione sonora per informazioni al pubblico;
 • accessibilità alle due banchine mediante due sottopassi di stazione, uno in prossimità del FV dotato di ascensore e rampe ciclopedonali) ed uno in corrispondenza del PL di via Roma;

Anzi, no. Da lunedଠè un&#039altra storia. A cantieri aperti. _______________________________________________________

Yes, but what's the point of your statement?
Anyway, just to rectify what the posted map means: Milan won't build 11 metro lines. It's a plan in which different routes a supposed to have a form of public transport facility with an high grade trasport capacity (>5000 ppdpd). Metros, of course, but also tram lines. "Linea 7", for example, is planned to be a tram link, partially build.
It's a mistification of the plan to difine these routes a metros: they won't.

Because the plan means "linee di forza" (more or less "heavy duty lines"), which isn't necessarely to be understood as metro lines, also tram lines or something in between.
And also logic tells that most of those lines don't need a metro, in short term nor in long terms.
Just the numeric assignment gives the impression that these are metro, but is just an impression: the numbers just show the "heavy duty" lines and of course the 5 existing metros are "heavy duty" lines as a matter of fact. Metro lines are "heavy duty", but not necessarely viceversa "heavy duty" linea are metros.
