Nice image of the staircase. If only we could climb over
I still cannot figure out why they have used steel staircase. It will be quite an experience for someone with height phobia to walk down from very high floor.

I am still wondering if the steel staircase was counted as part of Citylights' Gross Floor Area (GFA). If the developer was able to exclude the staircase's area from the GFA by building a steel staircase, then there is clearly an incentive to have a steel staircase. This allows the developer to build and sell more units.

I was talking about the back where there is this whole row of Aluminium Panels, making the building look very "concrete".

At the same time it is cool! Imagine standing at the 41st floor staircase and looking down

So the question now is " Is the Steel Staircase counted in the GFA of Citylights?"

I think no.

I also think it is not. Citylights was approved for sale in 2004 whereas the policy change was made only in 2005.

I don't understand how the developer can build perforated stairways to take advantage of the older policy of GFA exclusion to build more units? Maybe the staircases can add more bulk to the building but the number of units should be already predetermined by the GFA.

My unit is in 86. Together with other numbers of the unit's address, they formed an exact mirror of my auspicious car plate number which had brought me some good luck so far. I only realized this fact 2 months ago. I think I might have subconsciously picked the unit whose numbers looked just like my auspicious car plate numbers.

Yeah. The policy change was made only 1 year after Citylights obtained permit to build the units etc.

GFA determines how many units can be built determined b the size of the units.

Of course there are other factors that uses the GFA, and there are also cases by which GFA cannot be fully maximised.

Hahaha ... I better not give more info for the sake of enjoying some privacy. In case I stay there and want to keep the door open for ventilation, I might see people standing outside looking in to see what I am doing.

My mistake. It should be number, not numbers.... I'm not rich.

Mine has more digits in it and also contained your set of numbers, plus it sounds more "effective".

Normal staircases count towards the GFA. The bigger the staircase area, the lesser the remaining GFA to be used for residential units.
