All right...

NH = All Nippon Airways (with Star Alliance)
CI = China Airlines (with Skyteam)
BR = EVA Air (with Star Alliance)

And by the way, UA and DL also send their metal to the Asia-Pacific region as well, with hubs in Tokyo too. However, yes, AA, DL, and UA send their metal nonstop to various destinations in Asia, especially to Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Seoul.

Malaysia to launch biometric express lanes in Kuala Lumpur

Malaysia’s immigration authority has announced the launch of biometric border controls hoped to speed up passenger throughout at Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
An express lane dubbed the “Asean Lane” is targeted at fellow countries in the Southeast Asia bloc, and a “Foreigner eGate” designed for biometric checks on others were both announced.
While the Asean Lane goes into operation immediately, the Foreigner eGate at KLIA goes into operation on December 29 and at klia2, in February next year, mmigration director-general Datuk Mustafa Ibrahim said at a launch event.
Mustafa said the Foreigner eGate would be a fast-track facility for foreigners with long-term visas that would also record their biometric details.
In November, senior Malaysian officials said a new biometric security system using facial and iris recognition will be implemented at every border checkpoint.
Home Minister Datuk Seri Zahid Hamidi said enhanced biometric security and an Advanced Passenger Screening System (APSS) would be implemented at all “entry and exit points” to tackle the issue of terrorism and illegal migration.
"We are working very closely with the International Civil Aviation Organisation and Interpol to beef up our security measures in the country," he told reporters at the Parliament lobby.
He added that a need for strong anti-terror legislation has grown urgent because Malaysians are getting involved in Islamic State militant activities in the Middle East.

KL welcomes the new British Airways’ Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner
NOVEMBER 10, 2015 BY STAR2.COM

British Airways is upgrading its current daily flight between Kuala Lumpur to London. The current Boeing 777-200ER will be replaced by the new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner from Dec 10.

The 787-9 is the latest addition to the British Airways fleet, it is 20ft (6m) longer than its predecessor the 787-8. The new aircraft is also fitted with the latest First Class cabin.

The cabin has just eight suites compared to most other aircraft which usually have 14, offering even more exclusivity and privacy to customers.

The 787s are the most technologically advanced aircraft in British Airways’ fleet. It includes a whisper-quiet cabin pressurised lower than other aircraft.

This creates more humidity and reduces the drying effect of the air in the cabin. The aircraft’s smooth ride technology also provides comfort during any turbulence.

The aircraft will have 216 seats in total with eight in First, 42 in Club World business class, 39 (seven additional) in World Traveller Plus premium economy and 127 in World Traveller economy class.

MAHB to study need for new satellite buildings in KLIA, klia2
December 1, 2015, Tuesday
http://www.theborneopost.com/2015/12...in-klia-klia2/

SEPANG: Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) will conduct a study on the need for new satellite buildings at the Kuala Lumpur Airport International Airport (KLIA) and klia2 to cater for future passenger growth.

Managing Director Datuk Badlisham Ghazali said both airports can currently accommodate up to 35 million and 45 million passengers respectively annually.

“Right now, we are looking into whether a new satellite building is required or leverage on the KLIA and klia2 to expand their capacities.

“In our master plan, there is allocation for a satellite building B, C and D at the airports if needed, due to the growth in air traffic and cargo,” Badlisham told reporters after launching the Malaysia Airports “MyFIT System”, here yesterday.

He was commenting on a recent statement by Deputy Transport Minister Datuk Abd Aziz Kaprawi that a new terminal is expected to be built at the KLIA to expand its total capacity to 100 million passengers annually.

The KLIA’s main terminal handled 23 million passengers last year, while the klia2 is about to reach its full capacity of 45 million.

On the MyFit System, Badlisham said MAHB is the first non-sports related organisation to use the MyFIT System, developed by the National Sports Institute (ISN), to gauge the fitness of the Airports Fire Rescue Service (AFRS) personnel.

He said the ISN had conducted tests at several AFRS stations nationwide and involving more than 250 members with 10 types of tests known as fitness test batteries.

“The tests includes sit-ups, hand grip, runs, wall sit and the yo-yo test.

“The use of the MyFit System is important to ensure that AFRS personnel perform their duties efficiently,” Badlisham said. — Bernama
