Is there any information on the condition of the injured workers? News on this is hard to come by out here, and my Google search came up with a bunch of pages in Dutch.

There are still 5 constructionworkers in the hospital. There conditions are unknown, but they are not in life threatening conditions.

The other wounded constructionworkers (10?) are recovering at home. When there is more information about there injuries I will keep you updated.

thank you very much. As a football fan I imagine having the chance to work construction at a stadium would be awesome. Still everybody deserves to come home from work after your shift safe and sound. Is it still just newspaper speculation regarding the cause? Is there a provincial government who will commission an inquiry? These things always take time, but best to do it properly to reduce the future risk to as low as is reasonably practicable (ALARP) cheers

All injured workers have now left the hospital and are recovering further at home.

Any updates on how deeply this will impact the construction schedule? Hopefully the collapse didn't impact the existing structure just beneath the new tier.

Investigations will go on till the end of August at least. No news yet on when the construction site will be cleared and when the construction can be resumed.

A small update:

The investigation is still going on, but they already started to remove the roof. The president of the club told the media, that FC Twente will play here games, if possible, on the sundayafternoons untill the winterbreak. Thats because the lightinstallation isen't installed completly. They probably will install the seats on the new tier, so there is a possibility to play with 30.000 supporters. The roof will be installed in the winterbreak.

For the internationals matches (Champions League/Europa League), Twente will play in the Gelredome, just like they did yesterday (Fc Twente - FC Vaslui 2-0).

Still, a lot is insure, but this is what its going to be. If I know anything more, I will post it.

Thanks a lot for that! Are there any estimates as to when/if the redevelopment will start back again? Didn't see that in the article.

Yes, at the moment supporters are helping with placing the seats. The roof has been taken away. Only the first tier will be operational, so there will be 24.800 supporters allowed. Tommorrow FC Twente will play against AZ at home, but there will be no away-supporters in the stadium, because there isen't an away-stand. Both AZ and the local goverment agreed with this. The UEFA doesn't want to make any exception, so Twente has to welcome Benficasupporters. Where they will put them in the stadium is not clear to me. The away-stand is localized on the second tier, so I guess they will seat next to the Twente supporters. Hopefully it won't make any trouble.

After the match against Benfica they will fit the rest of the seats on the first but also 2nd tier! The capacity will rise to its full standard of 30100 seats. In October there will be 3 away games at a row and an friendly-international game (so no competition). In that weeks they want to install the roof, so the finished stadium can open it doors for the home game against PSV (great game!) on the 29th of october.
