I heard that a design engineering consultant was called in from Canada for the investigation. Anyone know about this?

Don't worry. You will be welcome! There will be around 1200 ~ 1500 away-tickets for you.

Well I'm very hopeful aout the welcome, though Rotterdam wasn't the warmest place Still, is there already a 'definite' location for away groups?

Sometimes the club offers a kind of "Biergarten" outside the stadium. The local goverment doesn't forbid away-supporters to go into the city, but they will try to get you a.s.a.p. to the stadium.

But: if you just want to drink a beer, don't make trouble and be friendly, there won't be situations like in Rotterdam. But, I have to be honest, the last 2 years also here in Enschede there were some riots with other supporter groups during Europa League matches.

Still: I hope that everything will be nice and peacefull, we can drink a beer together as friends and afterwards walk together to the stadium.

Strange. Don't know why you get that little tickets. I think it still has to do with the renovation of the stadium.

Anyway, thats still a pity!

That's why I'm asking about the away section - how many did Benfica get and how does this look in Eredivisie? (if I recall well there was an away "no-go" to Enschede but don't know detailed plans...). Anyhow, 1200-1500 is far more than 500 and this amount being 2% of capacity, I guess this must have been judged as a special case...

The eredivisie-games were without away-supporters. The Benfica game with ~200 away-supporters. Every game is different at the moment. Thats because the stand is damaged and they have to replace some parts of it:

But the strange thing is: on the FC Twente website stands that Wisla get the 123, 124, 125 stands. That are 1200 seats. So there most be something changed.

Europa League
Twente Enschede 4:1 Wisła Kraków

The only thing I dislike are stands starting with 1st row higher than 0 level (pitch)

I think that's a great idea(slightly elevating the first row as it allows for the sponsors signs and no seats are lost due to 'restricted viewing'. The seats I could never like were the old type from older grounds like Derby County's old Baseball Ground where it appears that spectators eyes were at grass level probably because they just bolted seats onto old terraces I wish I could find pictures, but I'm drawing a blank at the moment.

On TV, stands that have a first row thats level with the pitch look far better - White Hart Lane for instance. For the fans in the ground sitting in the first row, I would think any sort of elevation is better. At least that's how I felt in my experience in being in first rows. The view on the other side of the ground made it really difficult to follow.

Raise stand just a little (1-1,5 m) and it both looks okay and enables spectator a comfortable view. From a sociological point of view raised stand seperates fans from players. If one wants to be that high anyway, he takes a seat in 5th row.

You make it sound like a bad thing while there's nothing bad about it.
