I enjoyed the most ... Chennai Pub ... Escape (Hotel Greenpark) Vadapalani .... esp: during weekends ..... this pub rox .... And then Parsha.. Park Hotel .... |

How is the night life in CMBT now? Six years back I had a chance to sleep there one night, it went to sleeping mode after 2am and was promptly woken up by the security guys at 5am.

I traveled from thiruvanmiyur to st Josephs college last week and was surprised to see a couple of permit rooms/bars on the main road. And i also heard that aloft Hotels has a good pub which is also on the Omr near srp.

The problem with Chennai is the Government makes is mandatory for atleast a 3-star hotel License to get a Bar License. This archaic Law has made sure, there are no Standalone Pubs (Like in Bangalore). So if you can count the number of 3-start hotels in Chennai, those are the number of bars/pubs operating in Chennai.
