PANGASINAN | Robinsons Place Pangasinan [com]
Robinsons set to build 30th store in Pangasinan
Robinsons Land Corp., the property unit of the Gokongwei group, will soon start the construction of its first shopping mall in Pangasinan, the company’s 30th. Robinsons Land said in a statement that it build Robinsons Calasiao on a 5.8-hectare property with a gross floor area of 31,900 sq. m. and leasable space of 23,000 square meters. The Pangasinan outlet will bring the total gross floor of 30 Robinsons mall to 1.5 million sq. m. “We hope to open our door to the warm people of Pangasinan soon. Robinsons Calasiao reflects Robinsons Land’s commitment to expand its chain of malls in the region,” Robinsons Land president Frederick Go said in a statement. Go said the company chose Calasiao for its first mall in Pangasinan because of the strategic location of the first-class municipality, which is between Dagupan City and San Carlos City. Robinsons Land has two malls in Pampanga and one each in the provinces of Tarlac, Ilocos Norte, Bulacan and Cabanatuan. The company recently opened a shopping mall in General Santos, South Cotabato and Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental. Robinsons Land plans to develop a mall in Puerto Princesa in Palawan next year and two more in Cebu and Magnolia in Quezon City in 2012. Robinsons Land posted a net income of P1.79 billion in the first six months to March 31, 2010, up 10 percent on year, as combined real estate and hotel revenues rose 7 percent to P5.3 billion from P4.9 billion. The company’s commercial centers division contributed 50 percent or P2.8 billion of the gross revenues from September 2009 to March 31, 2010, up 38 percent. It said revenues from newly opened malls in Dumaguete, Ilocos Norte, General Santos, Tacloban and Davao accounted for the higher turnover. Metro Manila malls led by Robinsons Galleria, Ortigas also contributed to the growth while other provincial outlets also posted decent rise in rental revenues. Jenniffer B. Austria Quote:

Mayor Mark Roy Macanlalay said a representative of Robinsons Land Corporation, the mother unit of the mammoth mall, said that stalls there are almost completed. “Kumpleto na daw iyong stalls at iyon ang gusto nilang ihanda para sa mga taga-Pangasinan itong pag-sapit ng pasko sa December,” he stressed. SM, Robinsons to create 'new town' in Pangasinan
By Danny O Sagun
Dagupan City (24 September) -- A virtual town would be created at the eastern part of this city with the reported plan of SM to build its mall at the Tambac-Mayombo section, according to a university president whose institution owns several hectares of land in that area. Dr. Gonzalo T. Duque, president of the Lyceum-Northwestern University, said that the area being developed by rival Robinsons for its own housing and mall projects in Calasiao town is adjacent to the site being eyed by the giant mall developer SM. His elder brother, Cesar, reportedly owns hundreds of hectares of lands in the area which he has offered to SM. Tycoon Henry Sy's son, Hans, recently met with Mayor Benjamin S. Lim to sound off the latter of the family's plan to put up a branch in the city. The area being considered was the site earlier eyed in the 1990s by mall operator Gotesco for its P1.2 billion mall. The Duque brothers accompanied Sy in that courtesy call on the mayor. Duque said LNU, which is holding this week its 41st Founders' Day Celebration, will greatly benefit from the presence of the mall there considering that it has 10 hectares of land near the site. Some 5,000 jobs will be created when the SM mall comes here, he said, quoting Sy. source:PIA |

Robinsons Metro East mall to undergo major facelift
By Zinnia B. Dela Peña (The Philippine Star) Updated July 15, 2011 12:00 AM Comments (0) MANILA, Philippines - Robinsons Land is giving its five-level Robinsons Metro East a major facelift after nearly a decade of successful operations. Robinsons Malls general manager Arlene G. Magtibay said the redevelopment is very timely given the burgeoning residential communities sprouting in the area. “We want to maintain Robinsons Metro East’s status as the preferred shopping destination for the entire family in eastern Metro Manila,” she said. Conveniently situated at a major crossroad along Marcos Highway in Pasig City, Robinsons Metro East is home to over 300 local and international retail shops, dining outlets, entertainment facilities and service providers. It serves as a significant gateway to over two million residents of Marikina, Cogeo, Cainta, Antipolo and San Mateo, Rizal. Magtibay said Robinsons Metro East will introduce new foreign and local brands, conveniently zoned to enable shoppers to easily locate their favorite shops. Thus far, the mall has introduced three new zones: My Domain for technology buffs, the Food Loft for those looking for food on the go and for bringing into the nearby cinemas, and Body Senses which specializes in hair and skin care for those who want to relax and pamper themselves. Magtibay said the renovation is expected to be completed by December. As part of the redevelopment program, Robinsons Metro East is also renovating its cinemas to give shoppers a more exciting viewing experience. The mall’s interiors will also soon sport a more sleek and elegant look while the mall’s exteriors will have a more streamlined building facade and enhanced landscaping. Robinsons Land currently has 29 shopping malls nationwide with two new malls – Robinsons Place Palawan and Robinsons Calasiao - slated to open soon. Soon to be completed are expansion projects of Robinsons Place Tacloban and Robinsons Place Bacolod.

![]() RLC redevelops Cainta mall Robinsons Land Corp. yesterday said it is refurbishing its mall in Cainta in a major redevelopment effort. The company said it is giving Robinsons Metro East "a fresher look" and "making it a more convenient and relaxing place for shoppers," after nearly a decade of operation. "We want to maintain Robinsons Metro East’s status as the preferred shopping destination for the entire family in eastern Metro Manila," said Arlene G. Magtibay, general manager of Robinsons Malls. Magtibay said the redevelopment is very timely as Robinson’s Metro East "keeps abreast of the burgeoning residential communities sprouting in the area." The redevelopment will introduce new foreign & local brands, conveniently zoned to enable shoppers to easily locate their favorite shops. Thus far, the mall has introduced three new zones: My Domain for technology buffs, the Food Loft for those looking for food on the go and for bringing into the nearby cinemas, and Body Senses which specializes in hair and skin care for those who want to relax and pamper themselves. As part of the redevelopment program, Robinsons Metro East Movieworld’s eight cinemas have also been renovated, with one cinema fitted out with the latest 3D projectors to give shoppers a more exciting viewing experience. The mall’s interiors will also soon sport a more sleek and elegant look while the mall’s exteriors will have a more streamlined building facade and enhanced landscaping. For added customer convenience, the mall offers free Wi-fi in designated areas. Recently, the mall made available an NBI Clearance Center which allows customers to obtain their NBI clearance within the comforts of the mall. Magtibay said the redevelopment will be completed by December-in time for the holidays. She added that the ongoing redevelopment will not affect operations as the mall and most of its shops will continue to be open throughout the renovation period. Robinsons Metro East has an average foot traffic of 50,000 people in a day, and is 98 percent leased-out. Robinsons Land is currently operating 29 shopping malls nationwide. Slated to open soon are Robinsons Place Palawan, Robinsons Calasiao. Soon to be completed are Mall expansion projects of Robinsons Place Tacloban and Robinsons Place Bacolod. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
