I was quite impressed with the design of the main residential tower of this project, with its different sections breaking up the verticality of it. Quite fascinating. And that other jagged skyscraper next to the Methodist Sanctuary, what's its status?

There's a thread for that project I believe. Probably find the answer to your question there.

I wonder if they'll find any cool old artifacts digging down here. A lot has happened in that area over the years.

I was wondering the same thing. I was wondering if the slowness was because they'd already encountered some things that needed to be researched before proceeding.

Just so long as they keep moving on-site and not off... barring encountering a buried sacred site.

[QUOTE=mSeattle;88175775]I was wondering the same thing. I was wondering if the slowness was because they'd already encountered some things that needed to be researched before proceeding.

Slowness was due to environmental remidiation. Some "stuff" was found in the soil and it had to be analyzed to see what type of disposal was allowed.

How do they handle contaminated soils? If its removed, what do they do to it? I've always been curious.

Clean it, and reuse it on some other development somewhere... Or just put it in containers and bury it and let some other generation deal with it.

"The financial backers of Stadium Place, a big residential project under construction on the North Lot of CenturyLink Field, have raised $20 million in a $51.5 million securities offering, according to a regulatory filing.

“We have successfully completed our equity funding for Phase I of the project,” developer Kevin Daniels said in an email."

GREAT!

It's funny how at first glance the foreground of the camera view looks like fencing and a sidewalk down at street level when it's actually the building parapet.
