I just picked up a new lens to play with, a Canon EF 17-40 F4L. Here's a few shots with it. Planning on getting "up" to my old tricks for some long exposure crane shots, stay tuned!

Interesting in a good or bad way? :P I finally got "up" to my old tricks with the new lens and made my way over to the L Tower to pay a visit. Here's a bunch

It's a long climb up to the 55th where the bridge across the gap to the crane awaits..was too windy to get anything off the crane but the view was awesome! Think I will have to make another trip before it's finished!

No, the falling part doesn't hurt a bit... landing though is a different matter.

hehe!!

I was on the top of a tall building once, and the closest I could force myself to get to the edge was about one foot away by sort of crawling on my stomach and hooking my feet onto the steel track behind me that went around the top for window cleaning. Even then I couldn't get right to the edge... I was way too scared! hehe...

.... and to do what you did, I'd need a safety harness strapped to me, and be wearing a pair of Depends. The Depends would be good for one use only.

Amazing photos! Can't wait to see more. Oh, and congrats on your baby! (I know it's been a while. I just read the whole thread today)

Oh, and to that guy complaining about the cold; some of us actually enjoy our 4 seasons. i would NEVER move to a climate where it stays warm the whole year.

Between the family, the new job and the new home it's been tough to get out and shoot. I have started getting back out now on a fairly regular basis though and now that I finally have the net working here, it's time for an update!

I have been shooting a lot lately, everything from Toronto and it's roofs to abandonments as well as camping. Here's a sampling of shots from the last little while.

Wow! You have such a unique and creative take on things.

A lot of your shots feature yourself. Are theses shots pre-planned and thought out - or are they spontaneous? ( obviously you have to set your camera to the timer!).

Interestingly, the first set all seemed to resemble each other in some way: composition; spacing....
