Work on cyber park's first IT building ( 8 Floor ) having 1.75 lkh sq ft costing 30crores have started by the hyderebad based KRR infra. Work expected to be completed by sep 2012
Work on the common facilitation center ( 5000 sqft , 2.5 cr) has started and is expected to complete in october this year, 10 companies are expected to start operation.

Already 32 Companied , both from inside and outside india registered in cyberbark for space allocation.

Work on common facilitation center which can occupy 10 companies and the IT park office is fast progressing and is expected to be comleted in couple of months time.. work on the first IT building has also started....

We are rocketing towards to have a name in the IT industry. Good going.

It doesnt look like the enthusiasm u posted in ur posts is really existing . Though they said first phase will be over by October , it may be dragged to next year. And none of the big giants have expressed interest in this park yet

Companies just dont announce like that. Companies mostly book spaces only 6-12 months before occupation. Its not like buying a flat where the builder proposes and people rush in book the flat before construction starts. And govt cyberpark will be really slow, at least its happening compared to most of the things which are still in paper and principle.

FORD Business Services , unit of FORD INDIA chose Coimbatore a Tier 2 city after Chennai for their DR operations. Honeywell services has chosen Madurai a tier 2 city for business continuity plans. Cyberpark Calicut may be slow but for sure will be an attractive package in itself. We'll have to wait , neednt be frustrated at the slow pace.

Atlast the hurdle of land aqusition is over

Kunjalikutty's reply in todays session regarding cyberpark

1. Land Acquisition over.
2. the first phase will be ready by Jan 2013. given sanction for work of first building and common facilitation center.
3. Road work to the park is started.
4. Already 25 odd companies have submitted request for space ..

One notable thing about calicut is that things happen here more silently here unlike other cities in kerala. That may be causing confusion among people whether something happens or not.

Aslesh, 95% was completed long back, now the remaining land owners also moved i think...i saw last week ,the work on the access road has started.

True, it would have been better for people and Calicut if either of them had a diff. name. Most of us thinks that these two are a single project.
