There is some activity at the construction of new metro-bridge for M4, but no lining or underground construction so far.

And, to be honest, there is a documentation for initial stretch of M4 (Lukyanivka-Raduzhna) and for M3 northern extension, so it should be either of them, and the officials states that contruction contractors would be relocated to M4, but such declarational statements always should be taken with the grain of salt.

Now what's the deal with the Red Xutir station? I know that was opened at the eastern edge of town in the middle of the woods five years ago. Has that area been developed since then? Does anybody use that station, or is it just a park-and-ride or transfer point for folks from the suburbs?

Well, it's only shaved off 10 minutes of walk for workers of line 3 depot, and also there is a bus route relocated to the station, but nothing beyond that. Suburban traffic are bound to Borispilska, which is situated at Borispol (Kharkiv) freeway terminus. No other development actually happened.

What a waste! The station is only used by employees of the subway yards!

The station is used by residents of Kyiv to get into the woodland (There's a good place for a picnic).
===========================================================================

Specially for Russian trolls - 6 new stations have been opened in the last 4 years.

Well, also there are two bus routes, 51 and 63, that now terminates at Chervoniy Hutir, so station have some ridership, but expanding bus service for another 1,5 km to Borispolska (which is way far from being overcrowded) cost many times less than extra 1,5 km of metro.

That's true, bur shaving off 10 minute walk for weekend leisures by constructing a 1,5 km of heavy metro line and dedicated station - that a waste of money.

It's always delaying. The quote such as "We don't have money right now" is casual

Well, the 4th (orange) line already about 2-3 years late (if you don't include first attempt back in 90s)
