IMO Haiwezekani eti nibebe pasport kwenda kuogelea kwenye ziwa ambalo lipo nje ya mlango wangu miaka nenda rudi

Inasikitisha mazee though boundaries of all African countries zina-follow the 1884 Berlin partitioning of Africa as agreed by AU formerly OAU; na pia the 1982 International Convenction Law of the sea stipulate border to be at the middle whenever the water body forms the boundaries between two countries, hawa jamaa wanalazimisha Heligoland treaty kuwa base of their argument! At times u can't avoid such provocations!

Tanzanian tops regional varsity competition in architecture

Tanzanian student Caleb Kimaro, from Ardhi University has emerged as the overall winner in the East African Architecture Student’s Competition which involved five regional universities.

The competition was organised by East Africa Institute of Architects.
His win is especially monumental given the stiff competition he faced from participants hailing from the most prestigious regional universities in Africa like, Makere University, Nairobi University, Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology and Uganda Matyrs University.
Dr Livin H. Mosha, Dean, School of Architecture and Design (SADE) at Ardhi University told The Guardian on Saturday that Caleb emerged the overall winner for his water front development project design.
During the event Caleb Kimaro went away with USD 1500 as well as certificate. The award was presented to Caleb by the Kenyan Prof James ole Kiyiapi, a Former Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education and currently a presidential candidate.
Held last month, it was presided over by a master jury presiding comprising, Arch Oino Evans Juma, Arch Livin Mosha, Christian Benimana and Arch Luke Anguyo Oce from the US.
The criteria was, among other things, site documentation of the project, concept development , contextualisation, environmental sensitivity, design economy, presentation of the project, construction technology as well as some unspecified bonus scores.
Three students were named as country winners and went away with USD500 each these were, Arnold Muheebwe from Makerere University in Uganda and Margaret Njoroge from the University of Nairobi in Kenya.
Caleb Kimaro expressed thanks to Dr Liberatus Kileki Mrema, lecturer, Department of Architecture for helping him meet his dream. He also expressed thanks to the Architects Association of Tanzania (AAT) for their financial.
