I never thought this proposal was realistic in any way. Is there really demand for that much residential of that size in Chicago? I bet not.

So... Is this just a pipe dream or does this actually have a shot.

No. Scrap this and build the Skyneedle and the Spire in their original locations. Or, at least the Skyneedle. Man that would have really "made" the Chicago skyline.

I feel like Chicago still needs to get its fair shake. Beautiful city with a beautiful skyline. It doesn't have the same international exposure as NYC and LA, but I love it.

^ Totally agree. The Skyneedle was my favourite Chicago project of all times.

There should be some development at the old post office, but this kind of stuff is way too blown up.

Still, there won't ever be enough demand for all those towers in Chicago, residential or office. One or two towers would've been more realistic.

I have to admit I don't like this at all. The building or what it stands for. Not sure why, I live in US.

The spire on the other hand I loved so I guess that shows my taste.

What kinda view is going to be available for people in the inner sections of the supertall?

This tower would most likely be designed so that the residential units would all have a view facing outwards, rather than towards the other tower.

Likely so. But still. Even the offices would have a great view of that wall

i love this idea but i do hope they downsize it a bit. its just too huge, the design and everything is fine but it is just too massive for chicago

Nothing's too big or too massive

Despite it's height I think it fits well with the skyline.
