Nothing I guess, but what else to do in this thread? We can only wait, wait and again wait before this gets approved

This is acutally kind of fun. What does this relate to the POR? Well if approved and biult it would give the US it's first 2,000ft Building which in both Kanto, I, and I'm sure others probably agree the US needs. See? No slamming here.
Back on topic, sorry if already asked, has there been any other official renders released?

Have you guys heard if any of this has gotten approved ? I knew that they said they already had funding for the first phase, so if this gets approved, then their is a good chance that a lot of this will get built. Also, im not trying to bump this thread, i just want some answers, and I figured you could answer my question.

Its always been more then a dream, its a multipart development, and they said they have funding already for atleast the first part, so if this did get approved, tthen we are just waiting for them to start building.

No. It was discussed at great length over the past probably 6-8 pages of this thread. Read it.

What i got out of that was that we are still waiting for approval, and that their have been recent articles saying the first phase is financed.

Also, man... the chicago spire was beautiful, im devastated about that being cancelled.

The project has NOT been approved. The developer expected a lengthy, difficult approval process from the start and there are fundamental disagreements about some of the tower placements in this scheme. Add to that, the condo market in Chicago which is barely starting to shrug off the effects of the recession as well as the office market which is lousy and you won't see much progress at this site anytime soon. Even if enough of the plan gets approval to begin work, the banks are still not lending for sale residential, retail, or office in a market as battered as Chicago's. It's not a pipe dream, but it's not a fully evolved proposal either.

Yeah, this is just a proposal for the time being. I do believe chicago will start building a 600m + within the next 5 years, but will this be it ? I dont know. On http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13FnuKo9b8Q someone said it looked like they were preparing for groundwork, but who really knows...
