WOAH!
I didn't really understand all the praise Chicagos skyline got until now! :O

Don't get me wrong, it looks really big and pretty in pictures! But I didn't realise the skyline was so massive! goes to show that it's THAT big, pictures can't gather its whole size!

I need to go there someday now!

Atlanta is kind of the same way. You don't realize how big it is till you drive through it. Pics don't do it justice

This looks like a hybrid of the seven south dearborn proposal and burj khalifa.

Certainly in line with Sears and Hancock with those Antennas. Daring but still modest compared to e.g. the Chicago Spire.

Looks like a giant version of the Sears Tower, and right across the river from it. Hopefully we'll get a different design.

I agree. The volumes are impressive, but I don't like that design either.

"Because Sears Tower worked so well last time, we're building it again! But bigger!"

The Greater Atlanta Area is very large, but the downtown area itself, the urban area, is quite small. Seen from up in a plane the downtown area is remarkably tiny.

I kind of like the new design. Then again, I would just be happy to see Chicago get three more towers, especially a new tallest one. Although, while I said I would like to see a new tallest tower in N. America to be built in Chicago, it seems a bit out of place at the Old Post Office location. While the Sears Tower is right across the river, it seems like a 250-350m tower would work better in this location.

Well this is curvy, and obviously wind is a lot better with curves...

Yeah Chicago's skyline is massive, stretching more than ten miles along the lakefront if i remember correctly. The shots from the lake can't really portray the sheer bulk of the city.

I hope this gets built. It will look amazing!
