Planning application lodged last month. Apartments already being sold. Going to be approximately 60 Levels

People in the Vic forums have been saying its a nod to the Rockefeller Center in NY, probably is.

Please correct me if I've gotten anything wrong.

Moved from when? Was it originally august the expected commencement of construction? How long is the projected construction timeline of this?

I didn't even know that it had originally been approved/due to start construction.

Ecstatic . If I had to choose between this and pearl, I would choose this.

Even though it's an apartment building, it has the look of an office block which I think Melbourne and the cbd needs right now.

this is so classic... very Chicago-ish and fit in with Melb style

Awesome - its good to go!!

the Height is ideal - great view of Melb from the bay looking in to CBD!

it will overshadow 530 and that Blue tower at King/Bourke st

The George Lucas or Blade Runner aesthetic is what grabs me. Coruscant here we come!

So true. That and the 30 Rock factor . Wish we could see this caliber of design in all the towers going up around town.

Thanks Qantas743, that news has puts me at ease, for now
Ive been watching out very closely every time i go past 568 for a sign of any action pending, thinking that something is not right, ''why hasnt demolition started ? FFS'' ''whats happend FFS ?''id say to myself every time i checked out the site, ''its August already and its meant to have started by now!!'' id mutter to myself as id storm off in a huff.

Even though this is not as tall as Prima/Pearl i prefer this over Pearl x5, and its the 1st real tower west of King St thats going to stretch the skyline further west, plus it looks sooo damn fine.
Watching the Collins Tower and Prima rise together at more or less the same time will be jizzworthy..

Do we all remember the good times back in the early to mid noughties? These two are the equivalent to Eureka and FWP and capitol is the equivalent to royal domain towers LoL. Cant see any other comparisons with proposals and ones that went up 5-8 years ago.

I also agree with the poster who said that this has an element of an office looking tower. I just wish it was at say 50 stories 218m high just so not to detract from the beautiful rialto.

This will be the first 200m+ building west of King Street so it should have a big impact on the skyline.

Archi... You did some fantastic renders if this building a year back. Any chance you could mock up something that shows this and pearl together? That would be very exciting to see!
