^Yet better, Shenzen proposing something like that in Greenland. As the ice cap is retreating, the Chinese are investing loads of money in the mineral-rich Danish island off the coast of Canada. Why not build a supertall there?

(you know, apart from... everything. But it would be cool for the lulz).

Do you know what's holding it up? I thought that even if they didn't have the money to do the interior the government would clad it at least.

I was on the HSR going to Shanghai this summer and I saw this building while the train was passing by Suzhou. It's really quite distinctive.

nothing happening worries me a bit, hope they will still continue within this year and not push the starting date to after new year.

plain is good because it will be accompanied by another tall tower and with the gate it will form and axis like zhujiang new town and guangzhou does look epic, because the skyline looks very balanced with modern towers that are not too crazy in design.
