Based on the last diagram posted by the sip and comparison to Gate of the orient tower it looks easily around 750m (if not taller), just do the math. And before someone mentioned it's asgg design it indeed looked to me like something they could have proposed.

Larger renders.

Proposal 1: They say 750m, no sources, likely fake height.

Proposal 2: They say 780m, no sources, likely fake height.

Shanghai Tower having 121 floors and big crown measures 632.

I counted floors based on these renders. The first design has around 128 floors and crown comparable to st - I would say 650m+. The second one has around 115 floors and uber huge crown. I would say 700m+ is very likely.

both look extreme tall, 700m are not unrealistic for them.

780m sounds so

i wish the heights were real, but patrykus has a point. however for sure we can expect something over 600m, which is outstanding anyways. And i can imagine that Suzhou tries to run for china's tallest. so yeah we may get close to 700m or even above

Hopefully both plots will be taller than 600m anyway. We should split the thread as soon as they release the first renders for the second plot, which will be taller than 300m too at any case.

I keep waiting for the day when China finally announces a 1,000 meter tower . I mean , if any country can support such a building in economic terms , it has to be China .

Not to knock on Dubai , Saudi Arabia , or Azerbaijan (of all places) but for them it's the novelty and insistence on building the 'tallest' (which is silly since it's only a matter of time before that one feature is crossed off the list of selling points)

I love supertalls but for the money they make absolutely no sense . They really are financial losers and while I'm sure that some of them (maybe even all of them) turn a profit eventually , you'd get more money and get it quicker by building 4 150 meter towers rather than one 600 meter tower .

Holy freak! I LOVE the one with the pool...

China has a lot of amazing supertall proposals, if they even finish half of them I will still be impressed.

Well, China's first 700m+ goes for Suzhou. This is so unexpected!

Quite a bizar proposal, where does all the money come from to build this stuff? I know China has a lot of money, but there are so many huge projects.

Actually I think this is a bit to much for Suzhou, waste of money. Invest it in the city first, most of it is really rundown, dirty and could use some extra investments. Besides some more jobs and a few extra tourists most of the locals won't have any benefits from this tower. They can only look at it from their crappy homes.

Pretty ******* awesome. Suzhou is going to look insane in just a few years. People just don't understand how large-scale China's urbanization is, Suzhou and Shanghai are going to merge, and have a unified subway system soon.

Awesome bit of news, and the merger between Suzhou and Shanghai sounds very promising. A true Megapolis if there is such a word!
