from my experience (sub-structure constructin), that red machine is one of the many type of piling/drilling machine. But in my country, they usually use bore pile rig or hammer pile which is larger than that red machine.

SSP changed it to U/C as well, they also got their information from here, since i was the one changing it i think a lot of the people working at the CTBUH database are users here or at least keep lurking.

we are not really a source, but rather a collector of sources, like wikipedia in a sort.

We better go on ignoring everything we can't confirm or we'll instantly become irrelevant. That's what makes SSC different from other forums, which mostly offer hair salon gossip

And with your zero tollerance for BS and uncomfirmed sources this site (china wise) will stay well ahead of Wiki..... Did the CTBUH ever offer you a job or do you think you intimidate them

There are various kinds of piling machines in the world. The following two images may explain how the red machines work .

Yep this is the first time I see that red machines directly taking part in pile construction. So I think from now on any project with red machines on site should be moved to u/c section

Wow, what an incredible building! (The one in the renders). Question: do any of those posters on the wooden walls around the construction site show that render?

On that subject of confirmation , the best method of confirming something is actual physical evidence provided by eyes on the ground. It's nice to have press releases as well but there are significant projects that exist in reality that are not our this website either because they forgot to issue one or somebody didn't pick it up and post it up. Either way stating that something that actually exists in physical form can't be entered on a database due to lack of documentary evidence is difficult to comprehend. I can think of a few examples of buildings that fit the criteria actually exist but due to the lack of memo or such people on the other side of the world choose to ignore that fact. The most real confirmation you'll ever get is to actually be there in person.

Having said all that I rate this site highly it's at least 99% accurate and a god send for web users.
