Warin City, Erbil 2011

The largest Residential and commercial complex in Iraq which expands over an area 875,000 sqm situated in the most influential area of Erbil city.
The residential zones are comprised of a mixture of luxury houses villas and Apartments.

The commercial zones includes 14 high rising office towers (30-40 floors high) and largest shopping mall in Iraq.

Project cost: 800 million US Dollars.

Very Nice project, but at 87 hectares/$800M it is far from being the biggest "residential and commercial complex" project in Kurdistan let alone Iraq! I wonder how the mathematics was done....

14 high rise towers (at least $100M each)
largest shopping mall in Iraq (has to be at least $1Bn)

add in all the other units... and all of a sudden $800M doesn't add up!

Yes, I was thinking about that aswell, but I noticed that whoever did the website is not very good at it becuase there quite a few spelling mistake so my guess is, either the number is wrong or that is only part of the costs and the other 'projects' such as 'erbil twin towers' and a couple others listed on their website are actually part of the project mentioned above, and so if all the costs are added together they over 1.3 billion dollars, but it's just my guess, it might be that the number above is wrong or optimistic.
