Church Street

This is one of the main shopping streets in the center of liverpool and has quite a variation of different architectural styles . . . .

This is the Bluecoat Chambers Art Gallery which lies at the end of a sidestreet and claims to be the oldest art centre in Great Britain:

Lovely set.

This building on the corner is my favourite.

Great photos. I love Liverpool. I've only been a few times, but it's a truly great city, brimming with culture, especially of the musical sense. It's a great place to go for a night out, or if you just want to chill out and take the famous "ferry 'cross the Mersey" and enjoy the city's amenities. For what feels like such a big city, people are super-friendly, salt of the earth type. The city has some amazing architecture, as seen in Mossy's photos. IMO, only Dublin can even remotely come close to matching Liverpool for quality Georgian architecture. The new buildings are of great quality too. Liverpool has somewhat of a skyline and is screaming out for new builds to add to that.

Great city. I always recommend Liverpool to anyone considering visiting the UK. It's one hell of a city.

It is a brilliant city and nearly every time i go i spot something new, either a beautiful detail on a building or a quirky sidestreet. For some reason i absolutely love these four buildings below, i think its because each one has its own different character and even the grey one on the end i love for being such a contrast to the others, i used to hate it but now ive come to admire it, since all it needs is a clean

Great shots of Liverpool - I'm really impressed by all its old buildings and nice clean and leafy pedestrian walkways.

Bold Street

Bold Street is one of my favourite places in Liverpool. While Chuch Street and Paradise street (Liverpool One) contain mainly large chain retailers and restaurants, Bold Street is home to mainly small independant businesses, which give the street a quirky vibe. At the top end of Bold Street is St Luke's Church which since 1941 has been nothing but a meer ruin. Hope you enjoy this update . . . .

wow, honestly, my first time to see ground level photos of this nice city.
the vibrant street scenes and yes the Anglican cathedral is so huge and massive.
just asking if there is like a museum for Beatles memorabilia?

Yeah there are loads of beatles related things to do. The new Museum of Liverpool has some beatles stuff aswell as the ferry terminal building. I know for sure there are other things but i suppose ive become so familiar to the beatles by walking round the city, i dont take note of them any more (i think the city is a tad too obsessed with the beatles to be honest!)

It's cool they've left the cathedral as a reminder of the Blitz. A kind of Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin.

Rodney Street

Since a few people commented on the georgian streets on the last page, I thought i would treat you all to one up close . Rodney Street is a beautiful street in the shadow of the Anglican cathedral and is known for its doctors clinics. It was named after Admiral Rodney who defeated the french in St Lucia in 1782, to preserve British interests in the West Indies. My favourite thing about this street are the little liver birds on top of the sign posts . . . .

Love your shots man.

Liverpool is a real gem, some incredible development going on there. Was there for the first time last year, was fortunate to have been given a great tour of the place by a good mate I've met through this website.

Would go back in a heartbeat.
