This photo shows downtown Dallas, Uptown Dallas, CityPlace, and the Market Center / hotel district along the Stemmons Corridor. One can tell a distinct difference between downtown Dallas and Uptown in how the buildings are constructed and in their color tone.
The Southwestern Medical District skyline is just to the left of this picture.
When contrasted to Atlanta, central Dallas is more round while, though impressive in scale, Atlanta seems to be built more along a line. Also the two contrast in regards to the height limits put on the buildings. For example, the Museum tower in downtown is the first skyscraper built in Dallas over 40 stories in height in the last twenty-five years.
Also, the main entrance to Love Field and its runways are pointed in the direction of downtown limiting the size of buildings.

Winston-Salem. Not quite "skyline" photos, but a few from my visit this past December. WS has one of the most underrated skylines in the South, IMO.

I didn't expect to see anything over 10 floors in Winston-Salem until I drove through there a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised.

Yeah, it is a pretty cool city. The amount of large companies with headquarters there is amazing for a city of that size. The proximity to Greensboro also makes it stand out compared to other similarly sized cities, IMO. Nice metro area for the south.

dessertpunk, the top picture of tulsa is beautiful. nice time of day and the grey-green on the buildings is unique. is the building at the left, w/ the spire, connected w/ the low rise building below it w/ the spires or crockets?

It's an unexpected pleasure for skyscraper lovers.

Winston-Salem has 91 buildings listed on this site, with 40 of them over 10 floors. Charlotte has 107 listed, so W-S is holding it's own. The city has a pleasant skyline IMO...
