Wow, they're building a gigantic system from scratch?

Also, I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned yet - What kind of rolling stock are they using, and from what company? Are there any pictures of the trains?

Xie xie! It's ok.
Is it somehow conected to the existing metro line? And if not, is it going to be conected to the planed lines?

I don't really like this sightseeing monorail. It's cultural heritage not Disneyland.

I think it's a good idea. It's quiet,non-air/noise poluting transport and cool looking yet out of sight.

And yes, it is in many ways, "Disneyland" .

Except it's kind of a Disneyland because most of the stuff are newly built to create a tourist attraction.

Since this monorail is on the south side of Xian in the Qujiang district, would it have been so difficult to connect it to the existing south terminus of Xian Metro Line 2 at Qujiang Int'l Conference & Exhibition Center? Or is that in a different part of Qujiang?

Also, the photo in the bottom-left corner of the Chinese map suggests this monorail will be partly underground. Is that accurate?

I have no idea but I feel this line is designed for sightseeing purpose and may not be suitable for public transportation (i.e. in terms of fare/capacity).
