It's official: Whole Foods to open store in Detroit's Midtown in 2013
I thought this was big enough news given the image of the city to warrant a post outside of the development subforum:

As far as I know the Meijer store is all but certain. In fact, there are possible plans to build another store in the city on the West Side in the Old Redford/Rosedale Park area.
