New Shopping Mall to replace old bus stand in Kannur. Mall will be constructed with Public-Private partnership in 1.7 acres. 50 lakhs allotted in municipality budget.

1) Royal Oak is nearing completion and many stores are already I saw name boards of many stores including food court.

2) Thana square - 2-3 floors are complete

3) The one near Royal oak (dont know the name) completed 4-5 floors - It looks really big

4) Saw big board @ Muni Kovil junction - Kannur MALL - opening shortly: Did not have time to go and check

No idea Aslesh, it is in between Royal Oaks and trg school. It is big and work is progressing very fast.

had been to kannur mall the prev day....was disappointed with the size...its so small that reliance trends occupies the entire ground floor... G + 3 floors + food court i think..it can accomodate max. 14 to 15 shops...

That is okay. There needs to be enough brand outlets and should maintain good quality. There are more malls coming up. Avarkkum jeevikkande. I don't want all of the malls compete with each other and close down. Instead we need a few malls with good quality. Revolving restaurant is the highlight of Kannur Mall. Need to see how it will come up.
