Music Halls from around the world

PLEASE POST PICS OF THE MUSIC HALL IN YOUR CITY OR COUNTRY

The Music Hall at Fair Park in Dallas,Texas was built in 1925 and has a capacity of 3,420. The building is of Spanish Baroque style with Moorish architectural influences, containing six stair towers capped with cast domes and arcade porches overlooking Fair Park. Air conditioning was added in 1954, and in 1972 the Hall was remodeled again with an expanded lobby and restaurant. In 1999 the theater was refurbished and updated. Because of the spacious nature of the Music Hall, the facility is a nationally recognized venue for Broadway musical touring companies and other large-scale public and private functions.

Here's pics of the Music Hall at Fair Park

This is a picture from 1925

Here's some picture from the 40s or 50s

This is how it looks today. You can see the expansion in the front of the building.

If you look closely though the glass windows you can the the original arches that use to be the entrance.

Here is Kleinhans Music Hall in Buffalo, NY. It was designed by Eliel and Eero Saarinen. It is acoustically perfect and considered on the of the best music halls in the US.

Radio City Music Hall at Rockefeller Plaza in New York City. Radio City Music Hall was built in 1932 and has a capacity of 5,933. Additional seating can be placed on the pit elevator during events that do not require that space bringing the seating capacity to 6,015.

The expansion ruined the architectural cohesiveness of the Dallas hall. Not sure what they were thinking..........

And obviously, if we are wondering around Porto´s music halls...

We could stay all day here appreciating the exterior...

Main hall (1238 seats)

Hall 2 (~600)

Concerts outside during Summer

And as you can imagine there´s a bunch of little spaces for more intimist concerts/djs, there´s bars and a restaurant at the top.

Berlin Philharmonie
Hans Scharoun designed the hall, which was constructed over the years 1960-1963.

Berlin Philharmonie looks like a downgrade of the new Elbe Philharmonic Hall in Hamburg.
