Right on. You also need to keep in mind that LOT will have their B787 by the summer season. They would be able to offer much better service for their passengers that connect to YYZ, JFK, ORD and EWR..... They always send us newish EMB190 to Belgrade. That will be big blow for Austrian.

I am glad they are expanding BEG and not building a new generic glass terminal. BEG has a great feel to it, sure there is room for improvement etc, but it is real, nothing phony about this airport.

During the following winter the Hungarian low cost carrier Wizz Air will increase number of flights en route Belgrade – Malmo.

From December 13 of the current year on, five flights per week will be operated. Apart from the flights already being carried out on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, the flights will be introduced on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Estimated flight departure from Belgrade for additional flights is 3.20 pm.

Thus, the company will carry out 25 return flights weekly from Belgrade "Nikola Tesla" Airport to nine European destinations.

Owing to extension of its offer from Belgrade, Wizz Air will start engaging aircrafts from other European bases, considering the current maximal utilization of its airliners, which are being based in Belgrade.

Unfortunately, LOTs 787s will be used to launch new Asian routes, therefore we can expect the 767s to be used on N American routes for a few more years. If Im not mistaken, the last 767 will leave the fleet in 2014

From the beginning of the winter schedule, the Romanian national air-carrier TAROM will introduce two additional flights per week on Belgrade - Bucharest route.

From October 30th seven flights a week will be performed from Belgrade "Nikola Tesla" Airport according to the following schedule:

On the morning flights on Mondays and Fridays, for the first time aircraft ATR 72, with 68-seat capacity will be introduced, while on the other flights ATR 42, with 48-seat capacity will still be used.

The Romanian TAROM is one of the many air-carriers which will during the winter season increase its capacities on flights from Belgrade. It is estimated that this will result in even faster increase of traffic volume on Belgrade Airport, with passenger number increase over 20% on monthly basis.
