Wow I have to say it's worth going inside. How much was it to get inside the museum? Thanks for the images.

"Nikola Tesla" Airport has achieved gross profit of RSD 406 million in the first trimester, which is by 29% more than the financial result forecasted in the Business plan for the first quarter of 2012.

In that period number of passengers increased by 14%, which is a far better result than realised average figure of all European airports, which had three-month growth of 3.4% .

Belgrade Airport is continuing to progress a great deal faster than all other competitive airports in the region and the published financial statements for the first trimester are implying another successful business year.

Great photo-report ... I wish they would build a new building for some of those aircraft currently rotting in the sun outside

Off topic but I'm just wondering if you could tell me, are there similar museums in Romania and where are they located?

They should also do something with the stray dogs that were guarding the planes that were outside

Yeah, we do have an Aviation Museum in Bucharest which is located here, though I never been there and I don't know how many planes do they have.

Also, recently there was opened in Timiș county a museum for Traian Vuia. Here are 2 pics of it:

Inside there is just an old model of an airplane built by Traian Vuia:

Thanks a lot, I'll be sure to visit them during my trip to Romania later this summer

Btw, since I can't help my curiousity, just one question - how much do you know about the aircraft you photographed?

For example, did you know that this one was jointly developed by Yugoslavia & Romania, where its known as IAR-93...

I admit that I don't know a lot about the aircraft I photographed, but I recognised some of them. What I didn't like about the museum is that they mainly wrote information about aircrafts just in serbian. Very few had the information also in English so I gave up trying to read about them because I was in a hurry for the tennis tournament.

Yeah, that's indeed a quite common problem, one that will have to be solved if there's any chance in hell of Belgrade getting the 2020 European city of culture designation that it's currently in the bidding for.

I think that my town, Arad, is also competing for this nomination in the same year, so you don't have any chance

I think the museum is a gold mine. They should invest some cash in it. Bogdymol, I suppose that mostly locals visit the museum, so that's why they have it all in serbian. Than again, I could be wrong.

I didn't know about the museum before a friend of mine (from Romania) recomanded it to me. So the museum is also visited by foreigners...

On monday I wanted to visit the Military Museum (from the fortress), but it's closed every monday
