Well, Emirates CEO had spoken in the past that they want to fly to Belgrade. They are waiting for the right time to justify deploying a A330-200 to Belgrade. The A330-200 is the smallest aircraft in their fleet. That's why they decided to test the market with FlyDubai idea. Back in the days, BEG-DUBAI used to be operated with a DC10. I will try to find some videos to show you.

I know what you mean, but you can still take Emirates to Dubai from Melbourne and take Jat or FlyDubai from Dubai to Belgrade. Than again, I would be very happy for you (Serbian diaspora from Aus) to get a better/faster airlinks with Belgrade.

qatar airways - By end of 2011 we could see them in BEG. (BEG via Skoplje)
(They will announce five new European destinations in a few weeks)
etihad - UAE market is covered by Jat, Fly Dubai.
emirates - It's matter of time. They are already testing the market.
AZAL - Serbian Gov is working on it.
belavia - Small market perhaps?
brussel airline - Jat Airways covers Brussels Via AMS
thomas cook airline - Wizz and Jat cover the UK Market (British on and off)
Cyprus airways - They already wanted to fly to BEG with a A320 as of WINTER 2011. Jat already cover LCA.
Estonia airways - Air Baltic'S backyard and they are already in BEG.
finnair - A EMB E170 could work.
air austral - Covered by Jat and Austrian/nIKKI?
KLM - Just matter of time, but Jat already serves AMS with 7 weekly flights.
SAS - Covered by Wizz and Jat.
blue wings - ??
air iceland - way too small market, but afew Serbian exapts live up there.
aer lingus - It could work with a small jet.
ryanair- Matter of time.
EL AL - Jat covers TLV from BEG, but there is some room for them.

Jat doesn't fly to matla but use to.....
so yea qatar airways should come to BEG because from australia and aslo emirates or etihad could come to BEG...

They used to fly to Tripoli and stopover in Malta. I think Tripoli flights should be back on as early as November 2011. Also, I would not exclude United from Chicago to Belgrade. That route has some potential. Just let the traffic grow at BEG and they will make a move. I am not sure how things work at United, but at Delta all directors keep an eye on European Airports over 3M pax a year. They started Bucharest-Otopeni when it used to serve around 4M back in 2009. That did not work out too well for some reason.

well all delta want is to fly to small country which is over 3m pax and yea i dont know what they want but they want to fly to big city to get pax out of the airport......

but it would be good if they come to help our company market good.....

JAT retired their last DC10 in 2005, Northwest Airlines (an American airline) retired their last DC10 in 2007.
