There is some decent progress on the "C" gates where widebody airplanes park. My friend is waiting for the new jetways to arrive, and he will do a photo shoot for us very soon. Ten new jetways will be installed on all A gates.

Momci, according to sources here in Dubai (Upper management at Emirates), Emirates will soon be flying to BEG. Due to the fact that lots of PAX from Australia, Singapore & New Zealand fly with QANTAS to Dubai to catch a connecting flight to Belgrade. Emirates has finally caught on the huge PAX numbers. Flights will be most likely be served by a B777 or A340.

Hopefully this is announced in the new year, and flights can commence in the busiest time of the year; April-July.

It is now more than obvious that Qatari or Emirati will bring some bigger bird to BEG. An A330 would be more of a realistic choice, but I am sure nobody would mind a B777. Maybe it is because Emirates are phasing out their A330s.

Emirates has new 777's on order, the 330s are going to be retired/sold soon to make space for the new 130 A380s, 47 B777s & 70 A350s.

Like you said, the BEG wouldn't mind a B777 or a A340.

"Go big or go home", is the Emirates motto.

The biggest competition that Emirates is gonna have is Qatar Airways, but well see how well they do in the coming months.

Yeah but do not forget that Turks are going to head to BEG this winter with ten weekly flights. That's a lot more than three rotations from Qatar airways. Qatar may offer a few more flights to Australia, and that is very limited because they just serve Melbourne for now or Perth... Once you add stop over in Ankara, it's not looking so good, but we will see.

Btw It would be a dream to see Emirates' B777 at BEG. I want that big bird to scare away germans and austrian crew.

On a side note, FlyDubai will be sending 2nd daily during the winter holydays.
