Will Air Serbia enter any big alliance soon?? Perhaps Skyteam, as Etihad has a strong connection with many airlines on Skyteam umbrella. As far as I know, only 2 airlines in balkan region registered as a member of airline alliance and it's only Star Alliance (Adria and Croatia airlines)
Well, congrats for the rebranding of Jat Airways into Air Serbia. The seats look much way better than other European FSC. Hope Schengen residence permit holder can enter Serbia without making a visa soon, so I do not need apply a visa for trying Air Serbia

Etihad might order NEO's at the Dubai Air Show which could find they're way to Air Serbia.

Airport concession to Etihad for 20 years has been announced. The condition is for Etihad to build a new passenger terminal, runway, airport hotel and car park (practically everything).

I think that's a very bad idea. Airports (and especially BEG to the Serbian market) is an essential asset.

Argh my previous post disappeared. Anyway, it's a bad idea if the things would remain as they are. But as there is a plan to turn Belgrade airport (which is currently a small local airport serving no transit passengers) into a transit hub for Air Serbia, Etihad and Air Berlin this is absolutely necessary. The only other option is to topple Heathrow as the worst airport in the world. There are absolutely no facilities at Belgrade Airport for any passengers that spend more than an absolute minimum of time there. Suggesting to anyone to go and check-in 3 hours before the flight in Belgrade is usually followed by a question "and what are we gonna do then?".

Simply, party installed airport management can never run a successful world class airport. For them the passenger will never be important as his opinion has no effect on their jobs.

^ Great news.
There will be many new carriers in BEG in the next six months. BH Airlines (if they don't go bankrupt by then), TAP, EasyJet, Swiss, Etihad Regional, Vueling, and maybe some more.

I think BEG will break 4 mil in 2014. With all these new carriers and Air Serbia's expansion, it won't be too difficult. This year will be nearly 3.55 mil.

Yeah, finally some decent airline form Iberian Peninsula! It will be great especially for the transfer passengers to South America.

EasyJet already has Belgrade - Milan - Belgrade route from spring 2013. In January it will start Belgrade - Geneva - Belgrade.
I think we may see some Chinese airline connecting it to Beijing and there is possibility of BA and AF coming back.
If everything goes well with Air Serbia, BEG will see more than 4 mil PAX in 2014 for sure.
