I am waiting to get some pictures of Fly Dubai. It's coming today again. The plan for 2012-2013 is to renovate the gates. That will cost around 55mil Euros. They renovated the bussines lounge. I am looking to get some pictures. After 2015 We are going to need a new terminal very soon.

After 2015, I hope we can work on something like this. This is in Larnaca and they carry just 5-6Mil pax a year. Belgrade accumulates the profit of 20Mil a year, so it's doable.

100 million dinars of its profit has already been divided and paid to Konstantin the Great Nis Airport in accordance with the recommendation of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and decisions of Belgrade “Nikola Tesla” Airport, plc Assembly for realization of strategic interest of the Republic of Serbia in order City of Nis o become great infrastructure hub in the Southern Serbia. Additionally, 200 million dinars have been paid to the fund for realization of the project of reconstruction of military airport in Ladjevci near Kraljevo in order to enable passenger commercial flights.

This, so far best annual financial result of Belgrade Airport has been accomplished by systematically tracking and operational costs savings in all departments. By attracting 15 new carriers in scheduled and charter traffic the European record has been set. Total of 2,7 million passengers have been handled which is the increase of 13,2% compared to the same period last year.

Now an established tourist hub in its own right, Serbia has nurtured rich music, sports, architecture, nightlife, arts, and cultural scenes. Belgrade, its capital and largest city, currently hosts a number of international festivals including FEST (Belgrade Film Festival), BITEF (Belgrade Theatre Festival), BELEF (Belgrade Summer Festival), BEMUS (Belgrade Music Festival) and Belgrade Book Fair and has built one of the most interesting cityscapes in Europe with architectural styles ranging from Soviet to gothic.

Belgrade will be the 46th addition to flydubai's expanding route network, which spans the GCC, Middle East, North Africa, the Indian Sub-continent, Asia and the fringes of Europe. The airline completed a busy weekend of new flights with inaugurals taking place in Kiev, Kharkiv and Donetsk in Ukraine. Later this week flydubai will celebrate its first flights to Kazan and Ufa in Russia. flydubai has also announced flights to Tbilisi in Georgia, scheduled to commence operations on 4 November 2011.

Flight Details

Flights to and from Belgrade will operate four times-a-week and will commence on 10th November 2011. FZ741 will depart Dubai Terminal 2 at 0910hrs, landing in Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport at 1155hrs local time. The return flight FZ742 departs at 1240hrs arriving in Dubai at 2045hrs.

One way fares from Dubai-Belgrade start at AED 800 (€160). From Belgrade to Dubai the price starts at €170 (AED 850). Fares include one piece of hand luggage weighing up to 7kg and one small laptop bag or hand bag. Checked baggage starts at AED 50 for 20kgs. A seat with extra legroom costs AED100 extra.

Flights between Dubai and Belgrade can be purchased from flydubai's website (www.flydubai.com), its call centre (+9714 301 0800) and through travel partners.

I think so too. Bern is around 1.5H drive from Geneva. The only new airline that may pop up is Qatar with their press media to be just before the new year.

A brand new airline for Belgrade - we received this picture from an anonymous contributor - we are promised even more when flydubai has its formal launch party next week to celebrate this important development.

flydubai launched flights last week to its western-most destination with the introduction of four-times weekly flights from Dubai (DXB) to Belgrade (BEG) in Serbia using a 737-800. Flights from Dubai depart at 09:10 in the morning and are scheduled to take five hours and 45 minutes while flights from Belgrade depart at 12:40 and are scheduled to last just over five hours. The airline is now serving 44 destinations non-stop from Dubai. In the first 10 months of 2011 Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport’s passenger numbers have grown impressively by 16% compared with 2010 and the airport is well on course to handle over three million passengers, despite on-going issues at its national carrier, JAT Airways. JAT recently axed its Dubai service (via Larnaca). Since the start of the summer season Belgrade has welcomed new services from Olympic Air (Athens), SkyWork (to Bern-Belp) and Wizz Air (to Brussels Charleroi, Eindhoven, Gothenburg City, Memmingen, and Stockholm Skavsta).
