Mies van der Rohe was both an amazing architect and a great furniture designer..
The Barcelona chair is a timeless piece of design.

Adolf Loos (1870-1933) ranks as one of the most important pioneers of the modern movement in architecture. Ironically, his influence was based largely on a few interior designs and a body of controversial essays. Loos's buildings were rigorous examples of austere beauty, ranging from conventional country cottages to planar compositions for storefronts and residences. His built compositions were little known outside his native Austria during his early years of practice.

Charles Eames (together with Ray Eames arguably the greatest modernist furniture designers) was in fact architect, too.

SANAA (japanese masters of minimalism)

(furniture: Eames chairs! Of course)

Were asked (like many other architects) to design for Alessi, and made this rediculously delicate tea set for them (I have a set of cups, they're amazing)

I like how SAANA designed some little inperfections in their minimalistic household items, following the principles of japanese aesthetics.

Nice thread. First time I saw my favorite architect Frank Lloyd Wright furniture designs. He should stick though with architecture.

Wow!

But they're so expensive...

However i live next to the Artemide factory and sometimes they sell products directly from there. My girlfriend bought me an Eclisse lamp for my birthday!

I want to pick out my furniture so I know hoe big to design the rooms in a house I would like to build. Where online can I go to see what the demensions of the furniture I like?
