I really wish the balcony undersides on the Met were painted.

That backlit plastic signage frontage was such an ugly reno for the Brass Pail. Looks cheesy.

Yeah, I like the Zanzibar for its over the top tackiness, too. I love it when businesses think they are making themselves look "klassy"! hehe..

Zanzibar is one of the few places in the city that still uses neon lights, which I think is pretty cool. I also like the gold tiles. Sure it's gaudy but a little kitsch can be quite attractive and fun.

Sexuality has nothing to do it. My boyfriend and I go on dates to strip clubs for 'sakes. They're very entertaining places.

Exactly. Sexuality does have something to do with it...and that is precisely why it doesn't matter.

Indeed! Last time I checked, I am ! But I'm no stranger to straight strip clubs. Love 'em, actually. Not as much as the gay ones, but they are highly entertaining joints. Drinks in the straight ones tend to be much more $$$$$ than the gay ones.

I'm pretty secure in my sexuality, so I never secretly worry that perhaps I am turning straight!
