That backlit plastic signage frontage was such an ugly reno for the Brass Pail. Looks cheesy.

Yeah, I like the Zanzibar for its over the top tackiness, too. I love it when businesses think they are making themselves look "klassy"! hehe..

Zanzibar is one of the few places in the city that still uses neon lights, which I think is pretty cool. I also like the gold tiles. Sure it's gaudy but a little kitsch can be quite attractive and fun.
