According to the broadcast on the INC's Net 25 Channel, this arena was designed by world-renowned Populous. There is no rendering on their website nor press release as of yet. Nothing on Hanwha E&C website either. We will be on the look out.

It will be very visible from NLEX then. I wonder what other projects from INC will crop out in that area.

It's clearly designed to be an arena based on the enclosed roof, not a hybrid stadium/arena. The site looks large enough to have a dedicated sports park, like a proper stadium, smaller sports halls, aquatics center, velodrome etc.

But the country really lacks like a main stadium. FIFA wouldn't allow home games for the national side until recent upgrades to the Memorial Stadium, which is still not adequate.

I'd opt for a major stadium, which is needed for say an attempt to get the Asian Games or Olympics anyways.

What's the capacity of the stadium? There's no point building lower than 60,000, but if that is the case, is it possible to upgrade?

Doesn't look like it would be near 60,000 or above, I guess around the 30-40,000 range, which would probably suit the University's needs I guess.

A proper major stadium is needed for sure, but at least the national side can play here in a much better stadium.

well, the arena looks good, but why is the seating configuration like that? prang amphitheater ang labas... and if there's an arena and a stadium, why not build a sports complex...

yeah why does it seem like theres only one tier on side? i kind of expected some symmetry from a well-experienced stadium designer like Populous.

Seems kinda pointless. Imagine sitting in the back row of that indoor stadium trying to watch a tennis or basketball match.

Why it has to always be basketball to played in this kind of arenas/stadiums? A nice venue for the UFL Cup Final. Wishful thinking that some lowly budding football club will be granted a lease on that stadion. Nice way for football.

..its primarily for a religious purpose..
..dis will be used obviously for the INC Centennial Celebration..
..dis is not generally for olympics, or other athletic matches or football matches..

..the government is the one who is responsible to build sports facilities or national stadium that wil be used for those athletic matches...
..and not those religious group because their business is their flock..

PEACE,,
