Well, for the INC Centennial celebration itself, that gathering would naturally have a religious theme but it would also be used for wholesome secular entertainment afterwards, as mentioned in this article from the Inquirer...

PH set to build world’s biggest sports dome

By Manolo R. Iņigo
Philippine Daily Inquirer
11:38 pm | Thursday, June 9th, 2011

In four year’s time, the Philippines could very well be the site of the world’s biggest domed coliseum, rivaling that of the historic 22,000-seat Araneta Coliseum, once considered the world’s biggest indoor venue in 1960.

If constructed as planned, the project would put the country on the record books again. Located in Bocaue, Bulacan, the project covers some 52 hectares and will serve as a multi-purpose venue designed to host religious, cultural and sports events.

“The project,” according to my source, “aims to establish itself as a wholesome gathering place for people and an entertainment home for the whole family.” In fact, he further explained, the project could also help boost the Philippines’ tourism program.

It looks like and I'm not sure but Global Spectrum: Consulting group that runs many major arenas, venues, and stadiums here in the States and abroad will be running the venue management aspect..

http://www.global-spectrum.com/regio...g-clients.aspx

Global Spectrum has performed pre-opening, design, or operational services of various scope for the following venues:

•Philippines Arena and Convention Center

This probably of course after our Centennial Anniversary Celebration in 2014.. I can't wait to be there for that

I have been hearing this covered arena that the INC will be building in Bulacan in preparation of the church's Centennial Celebration on July 27, 2014. They got big plans in building big structures in the Philippines and even abroad. Here in Chicago and other parts of Northern Midwest, INC has been purchasing properties like catholic cathedrals and other non-catholic churches and chapels. Imagine, the INC Church pays in cash and not in a term or mortgage. One church in Chicago which was recently purchased by the church costing $2+ million was made in cash. The owner of the cathedral (that was purchased by INC) conducted a thorough investigation of the INC why were they able to purchase in cash (well other than they are afraid of money laundering for a big money to be put in the bank in cash or check). Indeed, they found out that INC really has the power to do so. INC get their money from their own funds and not from any other politicians and government. INC has been in full swing in purchasing and putting up properties around the world. I hope I can go home on the Centennial Celebration, I'm excited.

wow... so INC is building the arena... plus another stadium.. is it... would both be in bocaue?... nice...

I just hope they build the arena in a good spot with good transport thoroughfare... this would definitely cause a heavy traffic when an event is held... just like every year that INC celebrates in their central chapel in commonwealth..

and I guess once this is built and in their 100th anniversary... people in bulacan no longer need to travel to qc.. instead the people in Manila with flock this bocaue arena...

a big question that pops in my mind..

this is an INC project right? and a sporting venue pa.. ang tanong, hindi ba magiging parte to ng government? i mean kahit ba sa ibang bansa like the birds nest ng china ay private property o government owned yung stadium na yun sa china..

ayun lang po..

True ! I cant imagine how big is the fireworks display during the opening day of this arena considering that almost all the firecrackers came from this town!
