I never knew Dale Chihuly not until I checked wikipedia.
that shot that YF titled it "Lava" is a part of over 2,000 hand-blown
glasses which covers 2,000 sq ft of the lobby ceilling of Bellagio.

there's a similar one but in small scale in a building at the corner of Georgia
& Bute which I took a shot a couple of years ago but can't find it in my file.

Since there are more occurences of earthquake of late, I thought of
titling this as "The Night Vegas Shook"

this was purely accidental. I intended to have a clear night shot but forgot
my tripod. the mode dial was in sport not manual and using my 200mm zoom.
as the the subject (stratosphere tower) was about 1.5 kms, it would take
a little while before the shutter shuts which is same as when there's not
enough light, the speed tends to get slow.

BTW, what makes your photo interesting to me is the light-and-shadow
technique and those stars at the cars' roof.

I'm just a "new kid" as far as photography is concern and honestly I don't know much about this popular hobby. I'm sure I will learn more from you guys and taking more photos is going to improve my skill as well.

I liked Capricorn's camera shake, too. Here's one of mine (this one not quite accidental, I set the camera on a longer exposure and just waved it in front of an office building at night... ok, not the dslr, just my cheap p&s)
