One city that badly needs megatalls like this is Mumbai because of its population density.Wish this one was in Mumbai!

It's just an opinion guys, please don't take it other way.Wonderful project BTW.

offtopic: i have to agree, but don't worry mumbai is getting a lot of supertall projects all at once and in a couple of years i am sure we see even more projects. /offtopic

for wuhan i still do not know what to think, i mean there are 4 megatalls proposed and there is no way they all can be built. the erqi tower is probably only a vision and the greenland tower just started construction. so i think the greenland one is a near sure thing now, but the others i am rather sceptical about. maybe this is also a long term proposal only and we will not see anything rising within the next 5 years.

O/T: I agree about Mumbai, it's already getting the best looking megatall in the form of the India Tower, cracking design.

@ killers, I remember when you were overly optimistic about things happening, now, like me, you're more realistic of these huge towers bearing fruition

Yes,I do agree.4 megatalls in one city is economically not viable at this point of time but you never know as they say nothing is impossible for China.

Kinda bumping an old thread(link was posted in another thread), I love the concept design. A 666m tower with pretty much no tapering to the top!!! I want that design built!!! It looks awesome. I hope the concept becomes reality.

i completely agree, a design change is to be expected though, i really wish they would build this with a 666m roof height and not much tapering smaller towards the top though like the concept models show

Those twins on the right are expected to be launched anytime soon, 2x380m they say. Overall, the whole masterplan isn't as long term as we could expect.

That is a huge development. The model is nicely detailed.

Wuhan will have a skyline amongst the tallest in the world, considering the 380m twins already do look rather small there

The model looks realistic and the development is very massive.

i didn't realize the buildings were connected, but in hindsight can see the connection is also there on the models except for one model. not sure what to think about that though.

Not sure what to think about it? Dude, those connecting platform are so cool! They make it really futuristic.

It's always the main thing in sci-fi, cities which have multiple outside 'levels' where people walk and shop.

i really do like connecting platforms, but i think they weren't done as good as they could have been, they do not look like part of the structure, the color doesn't really fit and it looks a bit thin. if they made it symmetrical and maybe a bit rounder edges i would really like it, but like this it looks a bit weird. but after all the design is concept to change to begin with, since we are in an early stage afterall

Yes. Greenland announced another supertall in Wuhan, btw, far away from their current project. They expect 300-400m.
