hkskyline's 2010 MILAN Photo Collection

Milan was a pit stop from Switzerland to the Mediterranean coast. My sightseeing plan was not so packed given there are relatively fewer attractions here than similar cities of its size, and I wasn't planning to do much luxury goods shopping on this trip.

Seafood pasta with bread sticks, white wine, and olive oil ... lovely food.

Santa Maria delle Grazie is home to the Last Supper, which is extremely difficult to book for viewing on the internet. Luckily, we came across a Japanese tour group which pre-booked more tickets than they needed, and we were able to squeeze in at the last minute.

I was surprised the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II wasn't Milan's premiere brand name shopping destination. The setting is nice, but the real shopping is a few streets down.

I had previously ridden a Milan tram before ... in San Francisco. These are historic gems, and seem decently-maintained.

Duomo - a very pretty sight, but ruined by the groups of people selling pigeon feed and trying to rip people off.

It's possible to climb to the rooftop and go on a photo-taking frenzy from above the city. The energetic can take the stairs, while the lazy ones can pay a little more for the elevator.
