Thinathanthi's another article for needed infrastructure in the city.

Lorry Market hub

* Shevapet is the main business area of the city in whole-sale grocery, steels and other commodities. This area was called as Gundusatty lake and it was levelled to develop commidity business in 1948.

* This logistics hub is one of the main hub in the state which does exports and imports through other districts as well as other states. Also this area is densely populated, so the traffic of commercial and non-commercial vehicles are always high.

* Infrastructure is pathetic in this lorry market. Pot holes in the roads creates more accident during rain, compound wall for lorry market got damaged long back and also there is not sanitary complex here.

* 1948 constructed lorry market can just accomodate few lorries and most of the lorries are parked in good shed road, Leigh bazaar road, Shevapet main road, Sandaipet main road etc.,

Suggestions

* Lorry market should be renovated with proper infrastructure and roads.

* or New logistics hub should be built on bye-pass road.

O.M.Road widened from Anna park to Lighthouse complex with side advt. boards,decorative lights,good platforms and some plants,hope the new corporation gonna come will do this to the whole strecth and also in all arterial roads

சேலம் பள்ளப்பட்டி போலீஸ் நிலைய இன்ஸ்பெக்டராக பணியாற்றி வந்தவர் சந்தோஸ்குமார். இவர் தடியடி நடத்தியதால் இவரை வேறு காவல் நிலையத்திற்கு மாற்ற வேண்டும் என கோரிக்கை விடப்பட்டது. இந்த தடியடியை கண்டித்து ஆர்ப்பாட்டமும் நடந்தது. இந்த நிலையில் சந்தோஸ்குமார் பள்ளப்பட்டியில் இருந்து மாற்றப்பட்டார்.

அவர் காத்திருப்போர் பட்டியலில் வைக்கப்பட்டார். சுமார் ஒரு மாதத்திற்கு பின்னர் இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் சந்தோஸ்குமார் சேலம் சூரமங்கலம் போலீஸ் நிலையத்திற்கு மாற்றப்பட்டார். இவர் இங்கு சென்று பொறுப்பேற்றதும் பல அதிரடி நடவடிக்கைகள் எடுத்துள்ளார். பொதுமக்கள் மனு கொண்டு வந்தால், உடனே சேர்போட்டு அதில் பொதுமக்களை அமர வைத்து பின்னர் மனு வாங்க வேண்டும் என்றும், பொதுமக்கள் தரும் புகார் மனு மீது உடனே நடவடிக்கை எடுக்க வேண்டும் என்றும். எந்த காரணம் கொண்டும் பொதுமக்களை அலைக்கழிக்க கூடாது என்றும் அவர் போலீசாரிடம் கேட்டு கொண்டார்.

இதன்படி போலீஸ் நிலையத்திற்கு பொதுமக்கள் வந்தால் அவர்களை போலீசார் அன்போடு அழைத்து விசாரிக்கிறார்கள். உடனே நடவடிக்கையும்¢ எடுக்கிறார்கள். இன்ஸ்பெக்டர் சந்தோஸ்குமார் எப்போதும் போலீஸ் நிலையத்தில் இருந்து பொதுமக்கள் தரும் மனுக்களின் மீது விசாரித்து உடனே நடவடிக்கையும் எடுத்து வருகிறார்.

இதுதவிர அவர் சேலம் ஜங்சன் ரெயில் நிலைய பகுதி மற்றும் திருவாக்கவுண்டனூர் பகுதிக்கு சென்று போக்குவரத்து நெரிசலையும் சரிசெய்து வருகிறார். இதனால் எப்போதும் போக்குவரத்து நெரிசல் மிகுந்து காணப்படும் ஜங்சன் பகுதி இப்போது வாகனங்கள் எளிதாக சென்று வர முடிகிறது.

போலீசாரின் இந்த நடவடிக்கை எப்போதும் தொடர வேண்டும் என பொதுமக்கள் வேண்டுகோள் விடுத்துள்ளனர்.

This didn't find place in 2010-11 policy note. So it looks the flyover got approval from the state gvt!

1. Subway at Mulvadi gate mosque i.e Bretts road

2. Flyover on Cherry road

3. Flyover at Ayyodhiyapattinam

4. Flyover at Leigh Bazaar gate

These 4 got approval from southern railway too.
