Yup, di ko nga din alam kung bakit gang ngayon wala pa din.
Mga heavy equipments nila pinul-out pa.
Ang school, ospital at water treatment plant ng BIWC na malapit sa airport, wala pang nakitang site para sa relokasyon.

saw the structural masterplan of boracay airport. It's really unique having an odd shaped rooftop. Looks like they're putting a two level access way just like NAIA Terminals. I'll post it later once i have more time.

Yes, power for these high intensity runway lights is expensive and night operations can not be regular due to the hill.

Aquino renames Caticlan Airport in Aklan to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport

MANILA, Nov. 13 (PNA) -- President Benigno S. Aquino III has renamed the Caticlan Airport in Aklan to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in honor of the former Aklan Congressman, Governor and Court of Appeals Justice.

The Chief Executive renamed the seventh busiest airport in the country by virtue of Proclamation No. 500 signed by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa on Nov 7.

Ramos was called the Father of Aklan because as a congressman, he authored House Bill No. 334, proposing the separation of Aklan from Capiz.

The bill was approved by the House of Representatives on May 9, 1955 and was later approved by the Senate on April 16, 1956. It was finally signed by President Ramon Magsaysay as Republic Act No. 1414.

"The renaming of Caticlan Airport to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport is in recognition of his dedication to public service and unwavering commitment to the development of the Province of Aklan," President Aquino said. (PNA)

It appears the stopway is being graded but in the foreground is the road traversing it, i suppose the road now will be gated like Gibraltar or just like Lahug wayback.

The management of the airport's private, but the ownership of the airport's still public. I think we need to make that clear.
