sana nga.. para completo lahat equipments every airport... daanan kasi tayo ng bagyo... ma-minimize ang cancelled flights due to weather... para din ma-minimize ang donation ng bayan para sa mga corrupt..

I'm thinking of Metro Pacific since Smart has a lot of adverts in Philippine Airports. Weird nga lang kasi there would be Smart attached to Airport names like Smart Araneta Coliseum so for example Smart Bacólod-Silay Airport. Weird pakinggan.

Looks quite nice this interim terminal solution. And so they also have a new tower, which, unfortunately is not very high. I suppose it will grow upwards when the runway is lengthened. Thanks for posting FeetOnTheGround !

That's the old runway. I thought the new one is coast to coast without the hill at one end.

The project is by phases...

...first, improve the current terminal as the temporary terminal...
...second, improve the navigational equipment...
...third, extend the runway to the other coast and build underground passages for the roads that will be swallowed up...
...fourth, build the new terminal...
...and lastly, connect the airport terminal with a brand new port built in an artificial island...

Well, slow talaga ang airport development sa Philippines but Caticlan's development is faster than the rest.

So actually the very first picture of the runway that we saw was just a pictorial representation and not the real thing yet. My first impression was it was done already. Weel, it will be done pretty soon.
