A lot of the projects currently being undertaken in Ghana are minuscule compared to others elsewhere.....

yeah it seems ghana has a habit of building small. Is it reality or are we getting the wrong impression?

I know america has made a concious decision to stop build big projects after the iraq war. They learned that the cost benefit balance is way off, they're easier to finish, they always have more impact, and people see them pop up in rapid succession and feel that you're doing a lot, where a 5 year project loses interest by the time it's finished, its impossible to accurately price, and its a distraction of government funds incase of emergency.

i read it in a book about rebuilding Iraq, to a large extent i completely agree but there's something very effective in creating icons and making and impact in people's minds that fires up a lot of different sectors.
