Incorporating old facades into new designs

I'm doing an assignment on whether it is better to restore old buildings or to build new ones in place. I'm looking for photos of examples where the facade of an old building was kept and incorporated into the design of a new construction. When a new building is built on the block of an historical building but the old building wasn't completely demolished.

Also of any new construction built in an area where older looking building exist and the new building just looks out of place.

Thanks

this is the best one so far. it looks like the whole thing was built all at once.
the one in Koln looks bad
the pink, yellow and cream one in Lisbon is decent too.
Liberdade Street Fashion in Braga is nice.
the two in Oslo don't even look like they are one building - very bad
the Campari offices are a waste. was it really that hard to match the original shade of red?
the prism-like one in Lisbon is also top notch.
the other ones in Lisbon are hit and miss.

Well that was the point behind it. To make an exiting blend between modern and historic rather than make it looks like a modern building with a kitsch first floor.
