What I really love about photographs is how reflective they are of different perspectives and personalities. After a while, it is easy to identify whose photographs you are looking at. Each of them unique!

Two people can walk down the street together taking pictures and come home with completely different perspectives. Each person has their own vision.

OpenlyJane, you've created a very insightful picture thread. Well done!

Liverpool has fascinated me also, and not for any connections I may have to it through immigration or emigration as others have stated, but for its rich maritime and industrial heritage, and fame as a football and Beatles town. I also like it for a more specific reason and that's its history as a leading port of the 19th century and the remarkable cosmopolitanism it attracted because of it, during those times.

It would be great if you could please cover the Toxteth area of this city, because it stays true to the title of this thread, as well as possibly showing us a lesser-featured, though no less architecturally significant part of city, and more specifically because i'm interested in seeing St Nicholas Greek Orthodox church and the other interesting architecture in the area, including the wonderful Jewish Synagague across the road. The church was built in 1870 by the once flourishing merchantile, shipping Greek community who also had and still do, have bases (churches and community centres) in Manchester, and of course London, from the 19th century.
