Apart from the fantastic pictures and interesting threads from GV and OJ I'm finding the forum to be slow. Weekends are slower, new developments are scarcer than they were 3 years ago, so debate is slower. I really wish we could come out of this recession and get things going again. There's still a lot to be done.

It's the same all over.

There's a lot of public realm and academies work still around, but it has to be said that some areas are suffering a lot more than others. I quote a recent conversation I had with someone.... "There's no recession in London."

They just haven't had the fall off in terms of construction and new development. As I said they are someone's else's words not mine, but without divulging personal details I would agree in many respects.

There's a post on the thread below 'SSC Liverpool Awards' by a new user who only joined this month. It's just an advertisment for Architecture schools and colleges in Mumbai, and has hardly any relevance to the thread. So, could it be deleted please

Mad John has driven some great posters away imo,hopefully in a year or two when some of the big projects kick off then people will return? We've got the best part of £4bn worth of development in the pipeline/happening,not including Liverpool/Wirral Waters,I'm sure the place will liven up then?

Instead of having a Liverpool Cuture 2009 / 2010 / 2011 etc... thread every year, why not just change the name of the the 'Liverpool Cuture 2011' thread to 'Liverpool Culture', and have it as an ongoing thread from year to year.
