The Edge Lane thread is already fairly large (nearly 50 pages), and once work begins on the new retail park on Edge Lane, and the new mental health facility and park on Mill Lane, it's only going to get worse. Therefore, do we think it might be worth starting two new threads, something like -

'Edge Lane Retail Park | 600,000 sq ft'

'Rathbone Hospital Extension & Park | Mill Lane'

- with any salient news reports and renders cross-posted from the existing Edge Lane thread to get the new threads started?

With regard to the Liverpool Two thread, I've been looking through the existing Port of Liverpool thread, and there is an awful lot of discussion about the development there, scattered across 65 pages in over 1200 posts. Therefore I'm unsure how to get a new thread up and running, with so many news reports and discussions already in another place but little in the way of renders / site plans etc. One option would be to simply re-name the thread to Liverpool Two - the very first post in the whole thread reports on the in-river terminal so it would make some sense - but that would mean numerous port-related but non-Liverpool Two-related posts would end up in that thread, so I'm not sure what to do.

Thoughts?

Have a 'Port of Liverpool' thread for general discussion on the port on the main forum, and a 'Liverpool 2' thread to cover any news and construction for the new development.

Start it from now - we don't need to have all of the previous posts - got to start somewhere.

Just curiosity but Tom Hughes and myself and a few others have been having a fascinating and very informative discussion about the future of Liverpool transport on the 'If not trams....' thread. These discussions elicit intense excitement amongst the Liverpool forummers and I think that most of us would agree that this is what SSC is all about.

Imagine, therefore, my dismay to discover that some reprobate has placed a 'red face' emoticon against this particular thread. Can somebody please explain who has done this, why it has been done and what measures are being taken to punish the miscreant?
