Bad Wimpfen, Germany

Bad Wimpfen is a small town with a population of 7,000 near Heilbronn in the north of the federal state of Baden-Württemberg. In the late middle ages, it was a pretty wealthy and important center for the region so that there are still many monuments of this time to be found in Bad Wimpfen. Of special importance is the abbey church of St.Peter, one of the most remarkable buildings of early gothic in Germany.















Abbey church St. Peter, with romanesque western facade of 10th/11th centuries, the rest of the church was built in the 13th century in gothic style by Parisian architects:

Very nice pictures! I really like the "Blauer Turm"...it's one of my medieval favorites! And the view is really amazing!

Germany is without a doubt the most beautiful paradise on the planet.
I can not even begin to imagine why every one don´t know this fact.
All you 83 millions must feel proud at seeing these stunning sights!
