"காலைக்கதிர்' நாளிதழ் செய்தி எதிரொலியாக, மணல்மேடு கல் பாலம் சீரமைக்கும் பணி துரிதமாக துவங்கியது. ஈரோடு பெரும்பள்ளம் ஓடையை ஒட்டியுள்ள, மணல்மேடு பகுதியில், 200 குடும்பங்கள் வசிக்கின்றனர். இவர்கள் மெயின்ரோட்டுக்கு வர, வாய்க்காலை ஒட்டியபடி மண் பாதைதான் முதலில் இருந்தது. மழைக்காலத்தில் வாய்க்காலில் அதிகப்படியான தண்ணீர் வரும்போது, இந்த பாதையை அரித்து விடும். அத்துடன், வாய்க்கால் தண்ணீர் அருகில் உள்ள குடியிருப்பு பகுதிக்குள் புகுந்து விடும். மழைநீருடன் சாக்கடை கழிவு, பாம்பு போன்ற விஷ ஜந்துக்கள் அடித்து வரப்பட்டு, பெரும் பாதிப்பை ஏற்படுத்தியது. இதை தவிர்க்க, வாய்க்காலை ஒட்டி தடுப்புச்சுவருடன் கூடிய கல்பாலம் அமைத்து தரும்படி இப்பகுதி மக்கள் கோரினர். இதையடுத்து, 2009ல் தடுப்புச் சுவருடன் கூடிய கல்பாலம் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. நவம்பர், 6ம் தேதி ஈரோட்டில் பெய்த தொடர் மழையின் போது, பெரும்பள்ளத்தில் அடித்து வரப்பட்ட ஆகாயத்தாமரை செடிகள், பிளாஸ்டிக் மற்றும் குப்பை கழிவு ஆகியவை, ஸ்டோனி பிரிட்ஜில் அடைத்துக் கொண்டதால், மணல்மேடு பகுதி வீடுகளுக்குள் வெள்ளம் புகுந்தது. மாநகராட்சியினர் ஆகாயத்தாமரை செடிகளை அப்புறப்படுத்தி, வெள்ளம் வடிய வழி ஏற்படுத்தினர். திடீரென ஒரு வாரத்துக்கு முன், மணல்மேடு கல்பாலம் தடுப்பு சுவர் முற்றிலும் சரிந்து விழுந்தது. மெயின்ரோட்டுக்கு செல்லும் பாதை, ஒற்றையடிப் பாதை போல பாலம் மாறியதுடன், பாதையின் கீழுள்ள குழிகளுக்குள் வாய்க்கால் தண்ணீர் புகுந்துகொண்டது. கல்பாலத்தை பயன்படுத்தி வந்தவர்கள் அங்கிருந்து வெளியேற முடியாத நிலை ஏற்பட்டது. இப்பிரச்னையை, "காலைக்கதிர்' நாளிதழ் சுட்டிக் காட்டியது. இப்பகுதியை பார்வையிட்ட மாநகராட்சி கமிஷனர் மற்றும் அதிகாரிகள், கல்பாலத்தை உடனடியாக புதுப்பிக்கும் பணியை துவக்கினர். இப்பணியை மேற்கொண்டுள்ள கான்ட்ராக்டர் செல்வராஜ் கூறுகையில், ""வாய்க்காலில் அதிகப்படியான தண்ணீர் வந்ததால், பணியில் தாமதம் ஏற்பட்டது. இன்று (நேற்று) தண்ணீர் வரத்து குறைந்ததால், பணிகளை விரைந்து செய்து வருகிறோம். ஓரிரு வாரத்துக்குள் பணிகள் முடிக்கப்படும்,'' என்றார்.

ஈரோடு: பிரப் ரோட்டில் பெரிய மாரியம்மன் கோவிலுக்கு பாதிப்பு இல்லாமல் மேம்பாலம் அமைப்பதற்கான திட்ட வரைவு பணி நடக்கிறது. எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிலை அருகில் ரவுண்டானா மட்டுமே அமைக்கப்படுகிறது. ஈரோடு நகரில் கடும் போக்குவரத்து நெரிசல் நிலவுகிறது. குறிப்பிட்ட தூரத்தை கடக்க நிறைய இடங்களில் நின்று செல்ல வேண்டியுள்ளது. போக்குவரத்து நெரிசலுக்கு தீர்வு காணும் விதமாக, "எம்.ஜி.ஆர். சிலை அருகில் மேம்பாலம் அமைக்க வேண்டும்' என்று பல்வேறு அமைப்புகள் தரப்பில் கோரிக்கை எழுப்பப்பட்டது. ஆனால், பி.எஸ். பார்க்கில் மேம்பாலம் அமைக்கும் பணி, தி.மு.க., ஆட்சியில் நடந்தது. ஈரோடு நகர வணிகர்கள் மற்றும் பொதுமக்கள் இணைந்து பல்வேறு போராட்டங்களை நடத்தியதால், இப்பணி கைவிடப்பட்டது. உள்ளாட்சி தேர்தலில் பிரச்சாரம் செய்த முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா, "எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிலை அருகில் மேம்பாலம், சாயக்கழிவு நீரை சுத்திகரிக்க பொது சுத்திகரிப்பு திட்டம், சுற்றுச்சாலை பணி விரைவு படுத்துதல், பாதாள சாக்கடை பணியால் பழுதுபட்ட சாலைகள் புதுப்பித்தல், போக்குவரத்து நெரிசல் தீர காவிரி ஆற்றில் கூடுதல் பாலம் அமைக்கப்படும்' என்று உறுதி அளித்தார்.
ஆனால், கலெக்டர் மாநாட்டில், "பெரிய மாரியம்மன் கோவில் அருகில் மேம்பாலம் அமைக்கப்படும்' என்று முதல்வர் ஜெயலலிதா அறிவித்தார். இது பல்வேறு தரப்பினருக்கும் குழப்பத்தை ஏற்படுத்தியது. இதை மறுத்த பொதுப்பணித்துறை அமைச்சர் ராமலிங்கம், "எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிலை அருகில் தான் மேம்பாலம் அமைக்கப்படும்' என்று தெரிவித்தார்.



நெடுஞ்சாலைத் துறை அதிகாரிகள் தரப்பில் கூறியதாவது: எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிலை அருகில் மேம்பாலம் அமைக்கப்படவில்லை. தி.மு.க., ஆட்சியில் போடப்பட்ட திட்டப்படி எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிலை அருகில் ரவுண்டானா அமைத்து, ஈ.வி.என்., ரோட்டை அகலப்படுத்தும் பணி நடக்க உள்ளது. அதற்கான நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு பெறப்பட்டுள்ளது. ரவுண்டானா, ஈ.வி.என்., ரோடு விரிவாக்க பணிக்காக நிலம் ஆர்ஜிதம் செய்ய முடிவு செய்யப்பட்டு, அதற்கான பணி நடந்து வருகிறது. எம்.ஜி.ஆர்., சிலை அருகில் மேம்பாலம் அமைக்க வேண்டும் என்று தற்போதுதான் கோரிக்கை எழுந்துள்ளது. அதற்காக திட்ட மாதிரி தயாரிக்கப்பட்டு, அரசின் ஒப்புதலுக்கு அனுப்பி வைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. ஒப்புதல் கிடைக்காவிட்டால் ரவுண்டானா அமைத்து ரோடு அகலப்படுத்தும் பணி மட்டுமே நடக்கும். அதேபோல், பெரிய மாரியம்மன் கோவிலுக்கு பாதிப்பின்றி, பி.எஸ்.பார்க்கில், "டி' வடிவ மேம்பாலம் அமைக்க திட்ட மிடும் பணி நடந்து வருகிறது. நகர வளர்ச்சி பணிகளுக்கு அரசிடம் ஒப்புதல் பெறுவதே மிகுந்த சிரமம். கிடைக்கும் வாய்ப்பை பயன்படுத்திக் கொள்ளாவிட்டால், நமக்கு தேவையான போது அரசிடம் இருந்து நிதி கிடைக்காது. இவ்வாறு அவர்கள் கூறினர்.

It seems AMMA planned well..... During Election manifesto, she said flyover near MGR Statue..... But now she said flyover near PS Park(which was already started and stopped in the middle due to many problems)....

So, due to all these controversies, finally she will tell, "No flyovers" for Erode due to controversies.......

Hell of TNSTC-ERODE.....

There were about a total of 11 city buses running in the route of Central BS to Sivagiri.......

Among them, there were about 8 buses in the route of 42.....

1 bus in route 42B,
1 bus in route 42C,
1 bus in route 24 (Old 42D).......

Among the 8 buses of Route 42, 6 were ordinary services and 2 were of LSS Service..

And earlier the routes of 42B and 24 were converted to LSS.....

And now, after this fare hike, they have converted all the buses in the route into LSS Services..... No Ordinary service in this route,.....

Ordinary fare is Rs.10 (But no bus)
LSS Fare is Rs.11
Mofussil Bus fare is Rs.13

But the thing is all these buses will stop in all small stops....(I think they have about 39 stops nearly)....

What is this?????? Dono about other routs.......

ஈரோடு நகரில் ஒருவழிப்பாதையில் அத்துமீறி இஷ்டத்துக்கு மாட்டு வண்டிக்காரர்கள் நுழைவதால், கடும் நெரிசல் உருவாகிறது.
வாகனப் பெருக்கம் காரணமாக போக்குவரத்து நெருக்கடியை தீர்க்க போலீஸார் திக்குமுக்காடி வருகின்றனர். நகருக்குள் சர்வசாதரணமாக கனரக வாகனங்கள் அத்துமீறி நுழைவது சகஜமாகி விட்டது.வாகன நெரிசலை குறைக்க மாற்றி அமைக்கப்பட்ட ஒருவழிப்பாதையில் எதிரே வரும் வாகன ஓட்டிகளின் எண்ணிக்கையும் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இதனால், தேவையற்ற போக்குவரத்து நெரிசல் உண்டாவதுடன், வாகன ஓட்டிகள் பெரும் அவதிக்குள்ளாகி வருகின்றனர்.

அதேபோல் ஜவுளியை ஒரு இடத்தில் இருந்து அருகில் உள்ள கடைகளுக்கு கொண்டு செல்ல கைவண்டி, மாட்டு வண்டி அதிகளவில் நடைமுறையில் உள்ளது. இந்த வண்டிகள் அத்துமீறி ஒரு வழிப்பாதையில் பயணிப்பது சமீப காலமாக அதிகரித்துள்ளது. இதனால் எதிரே வரும் வாகனங்கள் சீராக பயணிப்பதில் பெரும் அவதியுறுகின்றன.கேட்க ஆளின்றி நடக்கும் இவர்களின் அத்துமீறலை மாவட்ட போலீஸாரும் கண்டுகொள்வதாக இல்லை. மீறி கெட்கும் வாகன ஓட்டிகளுக்கு மாட்டு வண்டி லோடுமேன்களிடம் சாட்டையடியே பதிலாக கிடைக்கிறது.

ஈரோடு நகரில் பீக் ஹவர்ஸ் நேரத்தில், போதுமான பஸ்கள் இயக்கப்படாததால், பள்ளி, கல்லூரி மாணவர்கள், பஸ் படிக்கட்டில் தொங்கியபடி பயணிக்கின்றனர்.
ஈரோட்டில் உள்ள பெரும்பாலான பள்ளி, கல்லூரிகள், பெருந்துறை ரோட்டில்தான் அமைந்துள்ளன. பள்ளி, கல்லூரிகளில் பல ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மாணவர்கள் படிக்கின்றனர்.இந்த வழித்தடத்தில், சொற்ப அளவில்தான் போக்குவரத்து கழகங்கள் பஸ்களை இயக்குகின்றன. காலை, மாலை பீக் ஹவர்ஸ் நேரத்தில், ஒவ்வொரு பஸ்ஸிலும், 130க்கும் மேற்பட்ட பயணிகளை ஏற்றிச் செல்கின்றனர். படிக்கட்டில், 15க்கும் மேற்பட்ட மாணவர்கள் தொங்கிச் செல்கின்றனர்.

ஈரோடு பஸ் ஸ்டாண்டில் இருந்து திண்டல், வெண்டிபாளையம், மூலப்பாளையத்துக்கு ஷேர் ஆட்டோக்கள் இயக்கப்பட்ட போதிலும், பஸ்களில் நெரிசல் குறையவில்லை.டிரைவர், கண்டக்டர்கள் தங்களுக்கு கலெக்ஷன் வந்தால் போதும் என, மாணவர்களின் செயலை கண்டுகொள்வதில்லை. பெருந்துறை ரோட்டில் விபத்து ஏற்படுவது சாதாரணமான ஒன்றாகிவிட்டது. காலை, மாலை நேரத்தில் கூடுதல் பஸ்களை இயக்க வேண்டும்.

Really you all doing good work. Nice to see separate thread for our Majestic erode City roads.

I put on my suggestions too hereunder:

1. The idea of Mobility hub is very good, we can have an integrated area for convenience.
2. All our city major roads should have both end pedestrian walkways along with barrigades.
3. Widening of roads upto maximum possibility.
4. Maintaining lane discipline.
5. Minimising many cross cuts in major roads and making smooth traffic.
6. Having pedestrian foot over bridges in GH junction, PS park junction, Sampath nagar road, nasiyanur road junction, etc.
7. Constructing Side wall for Rest house cause way railway bridge which looks with rocks at present.
8. Avoiding bus stops in road turnings, corners, like bust stop in PS park, nadar madu petrol bunk, which is a major hindrance for smooth traffic flow.
9. Widening the Chennimalai road near railway junction.
10. Marking Zebra crossings with reflectors whereever required.
11. Constructing parking areas for 2 &4 wheelers in many locations in manikoondu areas and making it compulsory that no vehicles should be parked in the roads even for the shop owners too. So that the area will be clear for traffic flow. It will be inconvenience for all of us in beginning stage, but will be useful for our city development.
12. For the first time, we can try to implement all signals in erode with gates. It means, once the "Red" light came, the gate should close the traffic. Once "Green" falls, it should open and allow traffic to flow. This is required because, if u see in signals, even after "Yellow" came, one car will rush towards the signal and try to croos it. In the mean time, another road vehicles who will get next clearance will start flowing, then there will be a mess. To avoid this, this gate concept may be useful. But it should also have some constraints, which are manageable with individuals self discipline. gates are not costlier one and also easy for maintenance.
13. The low depth cause way railway bridge near rest house should also be made further deeper equal to the adjascent road, so that lane can be made.

Hi Gokul, I welcome u for our Erode thread......... By the way its good to see another person with similar thoughts.....

Really your suggestions are good for our developing city...

Although, most of them were the urging needs of the city....

Eventhough Erode is developing industrially and in trade & business sector, it lags much in Road & Transportation sector...........

(Our people are not following lane discipline anywhere, we have very less number of City Roads that are presently used for public traffic, less traffic signals under operation, city bus routes are not yet updated for a long time, still we dont have any SETC Bus Terminal, No flyovers, etc,..........)

So, all our suggestions are much valuabble and really needed for our city and people, and we need to convey all these to the respective Authorities in some way.......

We need a support and help from more people like us from our city..........

Our City Ranks No.2 in the total flow of two-wheelers on the Roads in whole TN other than Chennai.... It gets next to Tiruppur......

But there is no much safety for the Riders......

Finally, a really great and good News for us friends,........

Our City is getting a lot new traffic signals, looking after the incresing traffic of roads even while having 25 signals on existence............

16 new traffic signals to come up in the newly integrated areas of the City apart from the renovation of unoperating older signals.......

The places for the 16 new signals are listed as:

On Perundurai Road (towards Perundurai)
* Kumalan Kuttai
* Palayapalayam
* Thindal Vellalar College
* Mettukadai
* Nandha College

On Sathy Road (towards Chithode)
* Kani Rauthar Kulam
* Soolai

On Bhavani Road (towards Bhavani)
* VOC Park Rear Gate
* Asokapuram - No.16th Road

On Palani Road (towards Poondurai)
* Kollampalayam - Lotus Hospital
* Moolapalayam - Petrol Bunk

On Karur Road (towards Lakkapuram)
* Solar Junction

On Chennimalai Road (towards Vellode)
* Rangampalayam

On NH-47 Bypass (towards Bhavani)
* IRTT Entrance
* Lakshmi Nagar

All these 15 signals comes under Erode City Municipal Corporation Limits.......

So, 25+15 = 40 traffic signals in our city.....

And the last is planned for Bhavani Urban part of Erode UA....... It is in Anthiyur Road Junnction in Bhavani.....

Even if they sign this project now, they will not complete it...... See for example, the Ring Road Project of Erode and several others.......

This new traffic signals project increases the number of signals on PS Park-Perundurai Road from a count of 7 to 13........ It covers almost the whole stretch of our Perundurai Road........

Besides it is essentially needed, It adds some more prestige to our PRIME Road, which is the PRIDE of Erode......

Also they haven't eyed on to the Upcoming Ring Road Project..... Once it gets opened, then definitely we need still several more signals on all those junctions...

Im sure, it will increase the count from the 40s to 60s....... Lets see what is the condition of traffic in Erode after implementing this......

Atleast this should reduce 20% of fatalities....

In Coimbatore, Avinashi Road is spanning a stretch of about 17kms till Neelambur.....
The entire stretch is converted into a 4/6-laned Road, maintained by State Highways.......

The entire stretch is converted into a 4/6-laned Road, maintained by State Highways.......

And once Ring Road project completed, we can expect the count to increase. And the junctions like Perundurai Police Station, 4 Roads and Daily market are demanded for traffic signals for a long time. So, there is a possibility that the number of signals may increase further from 13 to 18.....

ஈரோடு: கொக்கராயன்பாட்டை - திண்டல் ரிங் ரோடு-I திட்டத்தை மாற்றியமைக்க வேண்டும் என, ஈரோடு கலெக்டர் அலுவலகத்தில் பொதுமக்கள் மனு அளித்தனர். மனுவில் கூறியிருப்பதாவது: கொக்கராயன் பேட்டையிலிருந்து, பரிசல்துறை, ஆணைக்கல்பாளையம், சடையம்பாளையம், ரங்கம்பாளையம், திண்டல் வரையான ரிங் ரோடு-I, தி.மு.க., முன்னாள் அமைச்சர்கள் ராஜா, சாமிநாதன் ஆகியோரால், வளைத்தும், நெழிந்தும், குடியிருப்பு நிறைந்த பகுதிக்குள் செல்லும் வகையில் அமைக்கப்பட்டது. பணம் கொடுத்தவர்கள், ரியல் எஸ்டேட் அதிபர்கள், உறவினர்கள் மற்றும் காங்கிரஸ் கூட்டணி பிரமுகர்களுக்காக இச்செயலை தி.மு.க., அமைச்சர்கள் செய்தனர். ஆகஸ்ட் 18ம் தேதி அடையாள உண்ணாவிரதம் இருந்தோம். செப்டம்பர் 9ம் தேதி முதல்வரை நேரில் சந்தித்து முறையிட சென்ற போது, அப்போதைய கலெக்டர் காமராஜ் தலைமையில் அதிகாரிகள், எங்கள் பயணத்தை தடுத்தி நிறுத்தி, பிரச்னையை பேசித் தீர்த்துக் கொள்ளலாம் என தெரிவித்தனர். அக்டோபர் 23ம் தேதி ஆர்.டி.ஓ., சுகுமார் விசாரணைக்கு உத்தரவிடப்பட்டது. விசாரணை அதிகாரியிடம் உரிய ஆதாரங்கள் சமர்ப்பிக்கப்பட்டது. உள்ளாட்சித் தேர்தல் காரணமாக விசாரணை தாமதமானது. இதுநாள் வரை அமைதி காத்து வருகிறோம். ஆர்.டி.ஓ., விசாரணை நிலுவையில் உள்ள போது, கட்டுமானப் பணிக்கு அனுமதி வழங்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. 2,000க்கும் மேற்பட்ட குடும்பத்தினர் பாதிக்கப்படுகிறோம். கடந்த 2001 அ.தி.மு.க., ஆட்சியில் அளவீடு செய்து, நேராகவும், வளைவின்றியும், குடியிருப்புகளுக்கு பாதிப்பற்ற வகையில் அமைக்கப்பட்ட திட்டத்தை நிறைவேற்ற வேண்டும். இவ்வாறு மனுவில் கூறப்பட்டுள்ளது.

Still Phase-I itself is in trouble for implementation.... Then how and when they will start the Thindal-Bhavani Rd stretch of Ring Road Phase-II.. And how can we think about the eastern cauvery(Samayasangili-Kokkarayanpet) stretch of Phase-III...........????????? I think its still a dream for another generation....
